People generally didn't like Bucky and the structural complaint about it being a filler case right after a dramatic Case 3 and the clear finale of Case 5. Summary: Apollo travels to Kurain Village at the request of a face from his past, only to be drawn into yet another case and the most unexpected of showdowns in court. Apollo, Phoenix, and the AA6 crew come together for this globe-spanning, revolutionary finale. Main Characters: Apollo Justice, Dhurke Sahdmadhi, Athena Cykes, Trucy Wright, Pearl Fey, Phoenix Wright, Ema Skye, The Judge, Maya Fey, Rayfa Padma Khura'in, Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'in, Miles Edgeworth, The Khura'inian Judge Other Characters: Archie Buff, Sarge Buff, Paul Atishon, Armie Buff, Inga Karkhuul Khura'in, Ahlbi Ur'gaid, Nayna, Datz Are'bal, Jove Justice, Amara Sigatar Khura'in My rating: 10/10. This case owns and any OT true believer needs to play this case. I really have nothing but praise for this case, so I'll leave it to everyone else to talk about how good it is. --- I can't live forever With my head and my heart in the clouds ... 9.5/10
My only issue with this case is Nahyuta trying to take the fall right after Amara gets shot. Just ground the case to a halt after all the momentum it had built up, and it didn't quite stick the landing as a result. I love almost everything else about the case, and I'm sure it'll all get touched on. I just want to praise the Phoenix/Edgeworth investigation segment in Khura'in. Just a perfect bit of fanservice. It's not quite Edgeworth in 3-5 good, but just seeing Phoenix and Edgeworth be friends instead of rivals was such a treat. --- https://imgur.com/WqDcNNq https://imgur.com/89Z5jrB ... 10/10 It's almost cheating because this case is basically two great cases stapled together - each of them are a 9 minimum and the second half alone could be 10/10. The big twist is maybe the biggest twist ever. This case manages to totally redeem Apollo by itself and it really makes me believe Apollo and Dhurke's relationship in a short amount of time. There are some parts of the ending that I wish had been done better - I really don't like how Amara and Apollo never have 'a moment' at the end of this case - but whatever. This game managed to recapture the magic of the original trilogy for me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The first case isn't very good. It's a lot of what's wrong with modern AA (cases are too long, too many long animations, just general bloat).

Yeah, this is a 9.5/10
If anything I feel like the first half is underrated, if that was an individual case (as it should be!) it would be up there with the best "minor" cases in the series. It's kind of tragic that the second half, which is way more high stakes, shows up and overshadows it. I have other minor quibbles too, mainly that the final confrontation is less satisfying than the twists that come before it (it almost edges into E1-5 territory in that regard). But both parts are fantastic and for me this is very clearly the best case since the original trilogy. --- And if you don't know, now you know. ... Copied to Clipboard!

9.5. Could have been two cases, and would earn that way more than DD's final two cases, but it's fine. Also I feel like the second trial day just went on a bit too long - it became a bit exhausting - but the ending was definitely satisfying.
The series has genuinely got me three times. I mean they're always good, amusing, and sometimes surprising, but there's only three times I felt like "they got me, that's genius." 10/10. The first half alone (1st culprit is much better than the 2nd culprit even) is near the top 5 cases but adding in the second trial just cements it. I will say the ending drops the ball quite a bit and Phoenix's reason to fight Apollo is a bit contrived but every case has its flaws and the pros with the sheer emotional beats and genuine twists heavily outweigh the cons imo.

Yeah, I mean, my issue with the series post-trilogy was that nothing would surprise me anymore. The mechanics of the cases in dual destinies - oh, the room was locked, the body was moved, etc etc, it all just felt like I'd seen it before. 9 This should have been two separate cases. I still like it, but if there wasn't a good place to take a break, I'd probably dock more than like half a point for the length. (If they were both separate cases, they'd get the same rating I think) The Kurain Village mystery is nice and sweet. I expected Phoenix was blackmailed, but a part of me wondered if a hint of his AJ self shone through. I love how the case is supposedly just a civil case at first. Paul is neat, if shallow. I don't think I've seen much media that goes into Japanese politics even if it's mostly for surface level gags. And Armie is one of the best characters in the franchise. She alone is why this should be two cases. I like how the obviously evil Inga is dispatched pretty easily, though a part of me wishes we saw more of him, and I think it would have been more interesting to see Ga'ran's mask slip at a more gradual pace. I don't think it is unrealistic for her to be a tyrant or anything like that, I just almost find the set up with her facade and regal design to be kind of a letdown. Rayfa continues to be good. Nahyuta continues to be bland until the very end, where's he's cool, actually. But the coolness isn't earned unfortunately. The overall mystery in the latter half gives off strong 3-5 vibes. Bombshell after bombshell is dropped and it makes full use of the mystery and setting. The spiritualism is used perfectly, both with insights and channeling. But admittedly, it is so dense that I feel like I need to revisit this case. (Also this has nothing to do anything but last night I had a dream that a goose tried to murder me and Nahyuta was there, but did nothing at all to help, so if he wasn't already dead to me, he would be now.) ... People really get hung up on whether 5-4/5-5 should be one case or 6-5 should be two cases. They both work just fine the way they are, so I don't know why this topic gets brought up so much.
If anything, I think 6-5 benefits from being one case because I'm not giving a near perfect score to either half individually. Seems like some people here would, which I understand. The individual cases are probably 8.5/9s, but it's the total package (particularly the Apollo/Dhurke part of it) that gives it that impact. GAA2 is the one place where the game outright lies to you, and even then, I'm not going to dock its score for it. --- https://imgur.com/WqDcNNq https://imgur.com/89Z5jrB ... Copied to Clipboard!
