If Tony really wants to sell this angle and the piledriver the Bucks gave him, he should borrow Roderick Strong's neck brace and wear it to the NFL draft this weekend. Show the Khans in the Jaguars draft room and Tony is there, neck brace and all, occasionally wincing in pain to sell the damage from the attack.

Tony Khan's status for the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2024 NFL Draft obligations could be questionable.

Khan, the Jags' chief football strategy officer and the founder, owner and booker of All Elite Wrestling, took a punch to the gut and a "Meltzerdriver" piledriver Wednesday night live on AEW Dynamite from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Shad Khan, Tony's father and the owner of the Jaguars, took to the ring to check on his son in the aftermath of the drama.

It's all part of an angle (professional wrestling storyline), of course, but it was shocking nonetheless as Tony Khan has never been physically involved in AEW to that extent and his father's appearance added more realism to the stunning end of the show.

They got a headline on the NFL website about it. This is both incredible exposure for AEW and also high quality carny bullshit.

They gave Chris Jericho a belt again lol.

Tony's not nearly a good enough actor for this, but good for him for giving it a try anyway. Unless this is just a way to get him out of the way of a heel authority faction angle.

Ive always wondered if Shad Khan was aware of what is going on in AEW and how its filling 18,000 people stadiums with less than 3,000 and that the wrestlers they just featured in that angle constantly lose them tons of viewers in every segment theyre in. I guess he knows now.

I thought this was pretty funny and entertaining. For the longest time I've said that Tony should be an on-screen character.

It's actually sad to see the state of AEW right now, especially their small and anemic crowds. They were so hot in the beginning and people were always hyped to be there. They are speedrunning the path of WCW.

It's Daily's Place, Tony/Dad owns the venue, it's AEW homebase where they filmed during the pandemic. They were there because the NFL Draft is happening & TK needs to do NFL Draft/AEW shows at the same time this week

The crowd was super hot last night and the show nearly sold out. 1st of 4 TV show tapings this week there, so they will have sold about 4k total when all said and done

aew is pathetic and actually worse than WCW.

They won't last as long as WCW did, especially with Tony being the owner, dude doesn't know how to be a boss or actually book anything other than his dream matches.

i dont think TK needs to be on screen with some of the worst selling ever in order to create a GM role

all he has to do is just angle the bucks abusing their power and then punish them via introducing a kayfabe GM

but that would require TK to actually be minimally competent at booking
