I'm giving him crap but it's mostly in jest. I stopped watching wrestling a bit ago but have been thinking of getting back into AEW. It's been a while. The Inner Circle was still a thing when I watched it last.

there is a monumental difference between someone who has been on screen for nearly 30 years and only very recently stepping into a executive role vs tony fucking khan

the rock storyline was going to occur regardless of him being on the board or not, he was supposed to face roman last year, and to my surprise him being in the picture somehow elevated cody and seth to an even higher level (roman definitely got little bro'd during the whole thing, but who wouldnt be next to the rock honestly)

SCSA vs Vince only worked because of the starpower of SCSA and because Vince actually at least put in SOME effort, the bucks vs tk does not have either of those advantages

The issue with this is that a lot of people are going to shit on AEW no matter what. If any of its problems were actively being worked on (which some are), people would still have a problem

If they go back to their roots, people are going to complain that they're not using well-known stars and it coming off as Indie/bush league. If they present things more professionally and larger than life people will just go "lol but the crowd sizes and ratings tho". If they start pushing new storylines and angles (like they're currently doing) people will complain about certain wrestlers not getting the spotlight.

Ive always wondered if Shad Khan was aware of what is going on in AEW and how its filling 18,000 people stadiums with less than 3,000 and that the wrestlers they just featured in that angle constantly lose them tons of viewers in every segment theyre in. I guess he knows now.

If Tony really wants to sell this angle and the piledriver the Bucks gave him, he should borrow Roderick Strong's neck brace and wear it to the NFL draft this weekend. Show the Khans in the Jaguars draft room and Tony is there, neck brace and all, occasionally wincing in pain to sell the damage from the attack.
