YESTERDAY: I tallied this one differently, I typed out all the courses and then tallied after to see if any of them would get 0 votes. Blue is main courses, orange is bonus courses.

Only main courses to not get votes are Bowser in the Fire Sea and Snowman's Land. Hazy Maze Cave had 0 votes until the VERY LAST POST OF THE TOPIC when it got a single pity vote. Wild.

Only bonus course to get a vote was the Secret Slide. Kind of expected more than one tbqh.

Didn't expect Tick Tock Clock to make it into second but it is pretty great. Would have thought Rainbow Ride would do better but as some people mentioned it's not actually a good stage, just iconic.

Enjoyed the Jolly Roger Bay/Dire Dire Docks discourse. Did anyone mess up and vote for one when they meant the other? We had that happen at least once.

short explanations:
  • the big breakout from this generation, there is a reason why back in XY this was the only starter from this gen to get a Mega
  • besides the meme, famous for being one of the most effective starters in any generation, and still very popular
  • one of the most popular non-starter/legendary Pokemon ever, signature of a beloved rival (and later a less-beloved champion, but still a champion), other reasons
  • one of the most popular legendaries ever, mascot for one of the most beloved Pokemon games even today, constantly highlighted in other games, was a boss in Smash Bros., etc.


I find this rushmore more exciting than idk Blaziken + three cover legends or one legend + one Pokemon from all three starter families.
