I guess the biggest surprise I had was like....being able to consider it as a possibility in the first place. where i lived previously, i wasn't able to think about that sort of thing because it was never feasible. having moved away from most of that, I was able to actually weigh my options and think about how it would affect me and those around me. I kinda realized that....I don't care if it bothers anyone else enough to not at least attempt to transition. What didn't surprise me is the fact that there are still people I have to deal with and I guess the fear of them finding out / eventually having to tell them. I mean you know how fucked up my family is lol. woah....that's cool tbh. TeaMilk did mention that they didn't say anything either because (at least partially) another CE'er or two were calling me an egg and it kinda bothered me, but they said they basically felt the same as you. Also, like I said, I didn't really consider it an option back then, but if I did then I probably would have at least experimented with pronouns and stuff. I never felt attached to anything about my identity back then, honestly. My name, my appearance, my clothes, nothing. But now it's like....exciting, thinking about what kind of clothes I can wear.
