Imo its rude to speculate on someones gender, so I never really said anything, but occasionally Id get the feeling that using hard he/him felt weird. You ever talk to someone, and even not knowing their preferred gender, just instinctively get the feeling that using certain pronouns feels off? That would sometimes happen with you.
