Depends on my mood. Sometimes I put some creamer in there, but sometimes I want just that coffee flavor (as long as it's made right).

It really bad tc. I don't think I was meant to be born in this time period. I should have been born a few hundred years later w/ access to more advanced virtual reality technology

There may be medical reasons for a person to drink coffee only black.

I frequently drink just black cold brew.

To be fair I do hate myself.

I do also frequently get Starbucks' new(ish) pistachio creme. Because it's fucking delicious.

I like the flavor of black coffee so I drink it that way.

My pallet is weird. I like slightly burnt gas station black motor fuel style coffee the most.

I just like black coffee.

I don't like the taste of milk.

I do love black coffee. The stronger the better.

Liar! Also, I enjoy black coffee. Every so often, I splurge on a can of Starbucks Double/Tripleshot Energy in mocha flavor.

Those are really good, but for whatever reason they wreck my stomach. So I get the mocha Monster coffee thingies instead.

Drinking a black coffee makes it easier to justify buying a sweet pastry along side it

Haven't tried those, yet. Thinking about it, the Starbucks cans do tend to do the same to me. Maybe it's all the dairy stuff they put in it? I don't know how it compares to the Monster Java cans.

It's an acquired taste. Then it's like yay not having to mix cream and sugar in this

I love espresso and even ristrettos.
Black and no sugar.

What you need, are high quality beans and a good coffee machine.

Those drinks you get at Starbucks isn't exactly what I'd call "good".

My dad would only let me drink it black growing up as a masculinity thing. Now Im just used to it. Coffee with cream or anything else just tastes wrong to me

I should note that I personally dont think theres any correlation between how you drink your coffee and masculinity

I like drinking coffee at all the different colors / types. Black is perfectly fine in small amounts or if the coffee is good enough. I couldn't imagine only drinking black every single day though. I would just quit at that point.

It's just a vehicle to get more caffeine into my body and give myself the energy I need to get through a few more minutes of the day in this world

I originally drank black coffee because the bitterness slowed me down (same with IPAs). But now I'm used to it, and prefer it. Although, I do add chili powder or hot sauce at home.

It does suck but not because of black coffee. I don't drink coffee anymore but when I did, it was black coffee. That shit is delicious, I'm not sure why you'd say life sucks if you drink it.

I don't drink coffee anymore, but used to drink it black 4 times a day. I wanted a cup of full flavor.

I always drank my coffee black because I was too lazy to mix cream and sugar then over the years I just learned to like the taste.

Your OP said that people must have a miserable life if they enjoy coffee differently from you. But sure, pointing out that people that pour additives into something in order to enjoy it thereby like the additives and not the base product is pretentious.

I love black and white line work comic art. I also like colored comic art. When I read a colorized comic, it's not because I "don't like comic line art, just comic coloring" - it's because the coloring can enhance the line art. Sometimes, though, I just want to enjoy the detail work of the penciller. Either way is good.

I will say though, if someone's experience with black coffee is getting it at a place that's known for their sugary, flavored coffee drinks it's no surprise they don't like it black. Those places make bitter, burnt coffee because that's the only way any coffee flavor will make it through all that syrup.

I don't drink coffee period, but black drinks seem cool. They actually like coffee and want the unadulterated taste. It also helps reduce complexity in life, since you can always just order a black
coffee. So simple and streamlined.

I don't like to make a big thing out of it, tc.

I don't drink black coffee because my life sucks, at least not without a stretch.
-I'm obese
-I don't grocery shop as often as I should
-Adding just sugar isn't a taste I like anymore
-I usually get a sweetened latte before work in addition to the black coffee I drink at home
-I genuinely love the taste of cold brew, when I get them over the summer
-I'm poor, so not spending money on liquid creamer saves me the tiniest bit of money

Pretty much the above reasons, sans my enjoyment of coldbrew (which I need to buy the stuff to actually make my own), grant me the self-control to drink coffee black.

Mostly, but sometimes I add flavor especially the peppermint mocha during the winter season.

Even occasionally mixed chocolate milk with it.

Kind of surprised they never tried official Nestl Quik mocha.

Reason being though is my dad apparently gave me sips when I was a baby, and I was screwed to enjoyed it?

Black coffee is much better if you are getting fresh ground from quality beans, if you are just doing the scoop from a bag thing or Keurig, it's gonna have that bitter ass flavor to it.

Our bodies react differently to a degree. Like chocolate cake. Feels like even a heavy amount of chocolate isn't enough for me whereas my brother can barely take eating the heavy chocolate.
