Rules:
  1. Rate each character on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest, and 10 being the highest. Anything above 10 gets rounded down to a 10, and anything below a 1 gets rounded up to a 1.
  2. Anything beyond the ten's place will be rounded accordingly: .04 or lower gets rounded down to .0 and .05 or higher gets rounded up to .1
  3. You don't have to rate every character. You can skip any that you don't know or don't feel like rating.
  4. "Character" is defined loosely, but priority will be given to playable characters and major villains. Depending on participation/demand, this may be expanded.
  5. If you miss a topic or topic(s) you can still rate characters from previous topics. Just please try to keep them in the order I have them in the spreadsheet. It makes my life a lot easier.
  6. Feel free to nominate characters you'd like to see done next. There's no guarantee they'll be next, but they might receive higher priority.
  7. Please make it clear which characters you are giving each rating.

Hojo 4

Shantotto has a fun gimmick and they're likeable, but I'm probably docking half a point for disappointment. Played XI after other games already gave an impression that she's somewhat of a representative of the game but that's really really not the case. I can see her having the most personality in the base game maybe but even then there's still not much there (probably her best case is in Treasures of Aht Urhgan but again that's Aphmau's expansion. Even Naja Salaheem shines more there)

i hate the mini-expansions. at least Shantotto gets one and it's kinda funny, but the missions themselves are so bad and the content short.

I love that you can sequence break FF2 HARD with him (sorta-- the plot progression is gated but you can go anywhere)-- my best memory of FF2 is reaching the final town of the game with Minwu's help. He's also got an awesome design-- love that he's a white mage without being a girl too break those stereotypes

Hojo - 2.5
Aggressively uninteresting facet of the FF7 story and not for lack of trying.

Fusoya - 5.5
He turns into a beard puddle when he's KOed. That's funny.

Minwu - 8 my biggest memories of 2 was having my party single handledly carried by this guy so I gotta give big props
Hojo - 6 a necessary evil to the cast of ff7 may have rated him a little too high. still trying to figure out how to feel my process of "this character does the function they mean to do well" vs my process of "but how much do i actually like them."
