not really sure I had too strongly of an opinion on a scummy player though after that.

I just think igcd could use a good shtupin

and I didn't want to ignore Sultan after trying to lynch him day 1. which js why I ignored brohan, but I agree a scan of him would be prudent.

not that my lack of feeling on people should be taken to heartily, I am barely aware of the game state.

The hell is everyone today? With just a few exceptions I can't help but feel like people are hiding behind the box event to not be putting forth any effort.

Apologies, I had an unexpectedly busy day at work and have a date tonight so unlikely that I will have time before tomorrow to catch up as I'm still like 2 topics behind on day 1 too. I will be fully present and caught up all day tomorrow though

Well since you have fresh eyes for day 1 be sure to note how you feel about the various lynches that were options at the end of day 1

I will be home shortly and will share all my deets sorry for the delays. But I dont see why people should be hiding behind the box because the lynch is clearly still going on as well, despite the vote stipulation

I am wary of the Ninja Predator and the fact that Ashethan claimed an odd day killer. But if those facts make him scum then that means he chose.... to claim his actual flavor and role? That doesn't quite track to me. But maybe this is the exact type of WIFOM he was hoping for. No way scum claims something so obviously sketchy, so it must be town, etc.

Well apart from getting busy at the end of the work day, I did come back to basically no new conversation it felt like. We need people to come in and talk. Death, I feel like you could probably be a bit more vocal about where you're currently standing and give us something to engage with.

I've been trying to contemplate because my flavor and role don't track the same way. I have the killer day 1 flavor but with an explicit miller trait(I'm using this wording to not confuse you people you better not be confused) but I didn't flip to something completely different in the extra phase(No miller trait on this side).

Interesting. I have no idea what to make of that except, "We probably shouldn't choose to lynch anyone based on trait/flavor meta." Which probably shouldn't have needed to be said anyway, but just a reminder for myself. :P

Alright let's get CRACKING. I will start by saying that I can only use the Chain Hunt once per game, and it was my choice to use it, but I could only use it at night before I turned into Elliott hence the timing choice and Intuitive. It was too tempting not to use it. Let chaos reign.

So. At the 24 hour mark the Box will appear. I think it will probably give instructions on how it can be interacted with. I will hold off on explaining for now because it should be straightforward enough.

When someone interacts with the box, the Chain Hunt will end. Until someone interacts with the Box, the Chain Hunt will not end. Everyone will remain roleblocked and the voting stipulation will remain. We can choose to keep the Chain Hunt going in perpetuity.

When the Chain Hunt ends, I have a choice of two actions. One of them involves sparing the player, the other involves killing the player.

If I spare the player, they get my flavour and I get a one-use bulletproof. If I kill the player, they do not flip and are removed from the game.

However, there is an additional caveat. The player I remove will be considered to have won the game. That's right. I can win someone the game.

I would like to tempt a scum member to win the game and end the chain hunt, or else they lose any and all ability to kill (unless they have an ability that specifically exempts them from a roleblock like this?). This may be a ludicrous proposition, and people are free to debate as they please, but it is the one that I am making.

I would preferably avoid accidentally killing a town member so uh let's not do that.

A Chain Hunt has begun! The chains will continually harass ALL players until someone locates The Box. What does this mean?
- Most active abilities are automatically blocked.
- Most passive abilities are deactivated.
- Votes may not be removed or moved once cast.

This line from Isquen had me worried that scum would still be able to shoot at us while we're all roleblocked.

I'm not technically roleblocked but I don't actually have anything that I can do. So I was thinking that wording might have applied because of my case but I can't be sure it doesn't extend to others.

Also Ulti would have absolutely pounced at the chance to off himself with the box, AND win the game, lmao.

But yes as far as I am aware everyone is roleblocked equally.

No. Sorry if I'm being pedantic. I understand you are saying that your DM says everyone is roleblocked equally. I'm asking if there is any specific mention of night kills at all.

Eh. I think it's too risky to ever let the box go through the night then? We don't know if scum has a way around it, or even if it stops night kills at all. It's probably not worth roleblocking all of our potential investigative roles this early in the game just for a chance of stopping a night kill.

But then we have to have someone willingly interact with the box that we want to.

Does the game stop while you make your action? Or do we get time to discuss once someone has grabbed it for themselves? What happens if we vote to lynch someone who has grabbed the box, before you choose to act on it?

Honestly I wouldn't mind taking the box since I might be poisoned anyways, but I'm definitely town so that doesn't seem to fit JC's suggestion

I also have half a mind to say we just lynch pinhead since this doesn't sound like it could be pro town so all and maybe killing him will stop the madness.

I could honestly see this being a scum thing where he is FORCED to claim his actual role within 24 hours of day starting (to give town a chance to stop it?)

I do not completely believe that whoever sacrifices themselves to the box or whatever wins the game. Its possible but could also be a load of bs. This absolutely feels like it could be a scum deal where if you get someone to play along you get an extra kill, or even part of some 3rd party win con or some crap. I dont think this is coming from town at all.

man if you rolled town and you got this role you also would stop caring about the town equity in using it

Yeah the more I think on it the more I'm in love with the idea that it's a bizarre scum option that requires and forces a brazen level of open wolfing.

I can't imagine choosing to activate the ability as town.

You can ONLY use it on odd nights? I thought your intuitive trait gave you the option to pop the ability early, not that odd night usage was there only way to do it.

you literally just said you get to choose if this happens or not

also for the record it was my choice to claim, i could have just gone without saying anything (i wouldn't be able to come up with a fakeclaim because i don't have a safe list). my best guess is the flavour divulging mechanic is a counterbalance against that because it lets the surviving player know i was pinhead, thus confirming that i was responsible for the chain hunt

What does that even mean? What flavor would you have at that point?

And based on your description it will ALWAYS result in a kill if you want it to.
