Moze: Can jump in a mech and go apeshit, in said mech.

Fl4k: Gets a pet that does well in support and distraction. Still gets an action ability too.

Zane: Like he gets 2 action abilities but theyre just not as good as a pet or a giant mech.

Amara: Uh, a melee elementalist siren? I guess i should try her but nothings standing out.....

All are strong options, but Moze in particular for leveling because yes Iron Bear can destroy pretty much everything.

In endgame it is Moze>Zane>FL4K>Amara.

It's relative because they're all good at endgame, Moze just is a bit more ridiculous because she has two skills that give her an enormous boost based on difficulty.

I get what youre saying but if said class sucks till endgame, for example, then the classes that were also good at the beginning are much better imo.

Like zane and amara could rock at end game but starting off fresh a mech or a free pet makes things way easier.

A lot of Zane's craziness comes with his DLC Skill Tree... Since the shoulder mounted cannon has multiple charges and extremely fast cooldown, you can use it to activate any "On Action Skill Start/End" effects on equipment and get a ton of buffs out of it... Which is one of my favorite playstyles in BL3...

None of them suck, even for leveling. Game is not very hard. But Moze will definitely make it the easiest.

By the time I moved on from BL3 I swear the patch notes were just "someone figured out how to make Amara do damage so we nerfed that."

In the case of Zane, not counting the DLC tree, he could pull off some crazy stuff with the capstone that gave the digiclone a copy of his current gun. In particular, I recall it being really good at rapid reloads with the right spec, which made it a close range monster with certain shotguns.

It is true though that his drone was a downgrade compared to Wilhelm's Wolf from The Pre-Sequel. Wilhelm's drone, with some support for the snowballing damage stacks and the kill skill that quadrupled its fire rate, along with the skill that extended its duration for killing marked targets, would find you literally competing with Wolf for kills.

I made a somewhat related joke once that the patch notes for one patch read, "Fixed an issue that caused people to actually use Atlas rifles". But it was definitely the case that the devs could just watch certain Youtubers, like Moxsy, see what glitches he was exploiting, and then immediately patch them. In his quest for quick clicks he basically did their QA work for them when it came to exploits.

I mean, look at BL1 where you have the basically invincible siren, the hunter that hits like a truck and has ridiculous mob clear on autopilot, the soldier that is pretty solid, and the berserker who is funny.

Or look at BL2 where you have the basically invincible gunzerker who does a billion damage, the much more fragile mechromancer who does a billion damage without aiming, the siren who does a ton of damage when mobbing but doesn't have great boss killing, the assassin who can one-shot bosses with multiple hitboxes with a level 1 starter pistol and has situationally good mobbing but scales a little more poorly in that regard, the psycho who can hit the damage cap as soon as you start UVHM mode as long as he gets a few trash mobs together and has basically zero gear dependency until endgame (but has a ton of viable builds that range from invincible with weaker DPS to silly bullet hose builds that can burn 1800 SMG ammo in three seconds or cram 30 rockets into one launcher and throw it at an enemy's face with a 900%-ish damage multiplier), and the soldier, who, uh, isn't as awful as Brick was.

But still Moze needs no set up. Jump in mech and kill crap. Hell auto bear refunds a ton of time if you immediately jump out your mech and just use your mech as a pet.

I mean, look at BL1 where you have the basically invincible siren

Did you play a Siren in BL1?

I played through the whole campaign with one, and she kind of comes up short as the game progresses. As later enemies become more damage spongey and increase in number, the short time in invincible mode gets to a liability since you can't shoot and need to get in close (even more-so in MP where enemies get more HP). It eventually becomes little more than a quick "panic mode" while everyone else specials get more powerful and versatile.

Also remember in BL1 assault rifles are stronger and more practical than sub machine guns which are a Siren's main weapon, while in later games the assault rifle type gets a huge downgrade in comparison.

I remember siren getting so much buffs to fire damage that things melted so im not sure what you were using. It should have been a fire smg....

Nah lol. Lilith is the most broken in that game, you spec into that build properly and she's a monster. Get her some good weapons, such as a Hellfire, Double Anarchy, forget the other ones but she is a beast.

Developing Zane's digi-clone to the point it has the same gun as you and then both of you having OPQ's demolishes so much shit at an insanely quick speed. Also the ability to switch places with your clone can be an instant lifesaver as well as used tactically during combat.

Moze and her Iron Bear (I use Iron Cub now) are also dope.

Those are my 2 fav classes in that game.

I miss the days from borderlands 1 and 2 where the developers were flat out saying in interviews that they weren't interested in balance, they just wanted to make a bunch of cool guns that did cool things that people were excited to use.

I've always said I prefer buffs over nerfs. It just sucks when you go to play a character and they just don't operate like you are used to.

Yep, this kills characters, builds etc for me, if it feels different, in particular weaker or worse then I won't play it anymore. It's infuriating. Fuck nerfs.
