i went through the three strikes thing and it didn't disable anything, it just really wants to play ads but they don't go through. like the video will say it's 5 seconds long and then the real one will play.

Really, I'd suggest just committing to NoScript, at this point. Sure it makes the internet in general less convenient, until you figure out which parts of every site to allow, but I haven't seen most of these warnings, despite also having an adblocker

Anyway, why am I not getting these messages? Using FF w/uBlock Cache clears only when I close browser I don't log into YouTube I mainly use YouTube to watch old music videos and clips of old film/TV shows. Piracy is when you infringe on the copyright of existing material, i.e a movie or tv programme. For instance lets say I recorded a programme onto VHS or I rented a movie from a video rental place and then made copies of that programme/movie onto blank VHS tapes and then sold them that is piracy as I am selling bootleg copies of that programme/movie for my own personal gain and infringing on the copyright to not illegally sell or distribute that programme/movie. Piracy IS NOT blocking ads on the internet or fast forwarding through them on your TiVo/Sky+ set top box. In my mind, as long as I've got the bytes, they're mine. You can't write data to my device and then claim it's not mine.
