Rules:
  1. Rate each character on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest, and 10 being the highest. Anything above 10 gets rounded down to a 10, and anything below a 1 gets rounded up to a 1.
  2. Anything beyond the ten's place will be rounded accordingly: .04 or lower gets rounded down to .0 and .05 or higher gets rounded up to .1
  3. You don't have to rate every character. You can skip any that you don't know or don't feel like rating.
  4. "Character" is defined loosely, but priority will be given to playable characters and major villains. Depending on participation/demand, this may be expanded.
  5. If you miss a topic or topic(s) you can still rate characters from previous topics. Just please try to keep them in the order I have them in the spreadsheet. It makes my life a lot easier.
  6. Feel free to nominate characters you'd like to see done next. There's no guarantee they'll be next, but they might receive higher priority.
  7. Please make it clear which characters you are giving each rating.

He is a bit obnoxious throughout the game and his "you're not alone!" arc feels like a sad attempt to add some Cloud/Squall brooding main character appeal onto him which just comes across as extremely forced. If I was Roba I could try to justify my rating by calling him a creep towards Garnet too since he's easily more creepy than Edge.

Rikku - 9.5
A 10 with just FFX considered. I don't hate X2 Rikku but it dumbs her down in a bad way (though it doesn't feel as disasterrific on her as it does on Yuna) and I can't completely ignore it.

Garland - 5.5
The memes aside I think the FF1 plot involving Garland is actually sneaky good. If Dissidia actually made him interesting instead of bland bad dude he had potential but as it is you can only get so far with just scant FF1 plot to drive you.

Zidane is... okay. Which isn't glaring praise for a main protagonist. I don't hate him, but I don't love him either and find him a tad overrated. I'd probably like him less, oddly enough, if he were just a side character.

Love Rikku. She's peppy, energetic, but still has the depth to have scenes where she's serious. As the first character we meet in Spira, she's also among the nicest. Also, her being essentially a reasonable atheist is fantastic. Not a lot of upbeat funny characters can pull off the serious stuff, but Rikku can. Simply put Rikku ec yfacusa!

Garland doesn't have much story, but he comes from a much simpler time. I can't give him too much of a pass for that, but what story he does have is enough for me to give him an okay score.

Zidane - 9 Loses a point because the flirty stuff gets on my nerves and a few times he kind of goes over the line unnecessarily?
Rikku - 9 Loses a point because of X-2. I love that game but I feel like the goofiness of the game is a bit of a disservice to her characterization at times. Sometimes I feel like they should have just made it lower stakes plot-wise.
Garland - 6 Kind of bland in hindsight because of how primitive FF1 is, but he is a fantastic first start as far as villains go.
