I make Thai peanut satay sauce pretty regularly and serve it with stir-fried veggies and chicken, and that's really good, but this isn't something I've tried before. I'm intrigued.

its truly the worst allergy. at least with lactose intolerance you just get a stomach ache in most cases; so sometimes eating dairy is worth it...but with a nut allergy? you're pretty much guaranteed to at least break out into hives or worse

Nut allergies are apparently almost exclusive to the Americas. In Europe the big food allergy is celery. I remember someone joking somewhere about how ants on a log is one of the deadliest foods on earth.

I am thankful that I have (seemingly) no allergies what so ever. I was allergic to wasps and hornets growing up, but I grew out of it. A peanut allergy would be the worst.

Like I have known people so allergic to dairy that they need an epipen if their skin so much as comes into contact with milk, and I would even prefer that to a peanut allergy.

I've heard it suggested that nut allergies might be linked to the fact that peanuts are often used as a cleaner crop and therefore pick up a lot of random chemicals in trace amounts from the soil they're cleaning. I'm not sure if that's a regional thing, but if it is it could explain regional differences in allergy rates.

im allergic to metal

or something happens, anyways. if I have prolonged contact with metal on my skin, like a metal watchband for example, I will develop a rash there

for the longest time i could never wear a watch despite wanting to, even with a non metal band, the back of the watches are metal.

until smart watches came about with their sensors n shit making them go plastic or glass backed.

Swelling is usually what happens to me. The first time, my throat swelled I didnt know I was allergic, so I thought I had something stuck in my throat But it had just swelled up Ive also had my lips and tongue swell up. My lips to see if it was just shellfish, or the season. And my tongue when I checked if it was just crabs, or all shellfish My mom is fine with it as she doesnt have to share her food. Im in Maryland where crabs are a big thing. But they can get expensive. So, she likes not having to share
