King Boo is the leader of the Boos and ghosts, the main antagonist of the Luigi's Mansion series, and the arch-nemesis of Luigi. Although not the biggest Boo, King Boo has some powers throughout the series, including materializing objects and spitting fire. King Boo's power is often directly proportional to the number of Boos in his vicinity.

this is why i also say yes. there isn't anything objectionably wrong with the characters in the mario series, but i feel like for the most part, they're mostly carried by having good designs and fun animation. king boo does what he is intended to do fairly well so no complaint from me.

I don't mind (in fact generally like) when they make specific characters of generic species in the Mario series, but they work best when they're one-offs. I don't like the way that King Boo is (mis)used as a recurring character within the series. I'd vote yes if he was never in anything other than LM1.

Yeah, based on design I guess. With Mario characters you can't judge them the same way as, say, JRPG characters. You often have to go on design alone, and King Boo does his job well.
