On one hand Megan Fox as Nitara had the worst performance, but at least she's barely in the story. Meanwhile Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade is not going to win any awards, at least I felt she put more effort into her voice acting. I think more people dislike Ronda's performance because Sonya Blade had more speaking roles in the story mode in MK11 than Nitara did in MK1 story mode.

No, not really. There's been plenty of amazing VA work done by regular actors that doesn't get nitpicked. In fact, I think a lot of people don't even realize when prominent Hollywood actors have big parts in video games because they... Just do a good job.

I think one of the issues with Ronda is Bridgette Wilson came out of retirement after not doing anything for years and was a better Sonya voice actor. And she is a non-VA. So you had someone to compare to from the same game showing how bad she is.

I don't fully remember Ronda Rousey as Sonya, but I think it was slightly better than Megan Fox as Nitara. But as you said, Nitara was much less important to the story than Sonya Blade was in MK11. So it balances out.

Rousey sounds like a background npc, but she's kind of there.

Fox doesn't fit the character at all which isn't her fault. Her lines are delivered fine if you watch her in the studio being herself. Idk if there's any character that's bored or is kind of a rich girl snob, but she would've worked fine for that type of thing.

I really don't think Sonya/Rousey was THAT bad including the video that was linked in this topic. The performance was by no means, great. But I've definitely heard worse. I didn't think Megan Fox was that bad off a couple of lines before I played the game, but after playing the game, she actually is awful.

It's been a long time, but I don't remember Rousey having a hype trailer like Megan Fox where she looks all happy and animated and just "clicks" with being Nitara and then it just sounds like they dragged her in for like an hour of recording, had her do a quick interview, and sent her home with a big paycheck.
