I don't think going to the cinema will die anytime soon. Regal, Century and others exist. People are going to the theaters and watching the blockbusters

Nothing can replace high quality picture and sound on a gigantic screen with comfortable seats and with recliners. Heart break had never felt so good.

It reverse split 10:1. So, instead of 10 shares worth $1.95 each yesterday, you just have one share worth $19.50 today.

Except now it's at ~$14.30 so it's down another 28-30% from yesterday/open, possibly more close of day.

It's at $13.39 now

it has beaten expectations quarter after quarter and just had its first profitable quarter in a few years. there's no reason (other than predatory shorting) for it to keep going down quarter after quarter

I bought 70 shares of AMC for like 5 a piece or whatever, sold it weeks later at a $300 profit because i figured that was good enough for an experiment i've never tried before(trading stocks)

a month later i could have made 7 grand. Ouch. Rookie mistake I guess even though stock prices seem semi-random.

What I would not have done is kept holding on once a good profit could be made, so if I still had it I would have peaced out with a 7 grand profit.

Oh well, live and learn. I really don't beat myself up over it but it is unfortunate.

Probably would've made a shitload of money if you shorted this stock this past week

It's fucking awesome being able to pick the seat I want the night before, walk in right as the trailers are ending, and not have to scramble to find a good seat in the dark. wtf are you smokin

I literally won't go to a cinema if I can't reserve my seats beforehand.

Hmm shoot, if it did a reverse split, I don't think I'll be able to sell covered calls on it anymore.
