They're not dying off fast enough to affect the political vote swings by age demographics, however, younger voters are reaching voting age at a rate fast enough to affect it.

You read anything else into that statement and that's your own projections.

I'm very happy to see this measure go up in smoke. Once again we get evidence of when either or all of voting, democracy, and abortion rights are on the line. The American Electorate responds in kind by showing up in force to protect those rights.

The generation is dying and will die whether anyone wants it or not. Part and parcel of being mortal. I am just commenting on how I expect the political trends to affected mostly by young people being older and not old people dying off.

And old people doesn't mean bad just like young people doesn't mean good, but as a demographic they affect political trends and we see that more pronounced in new voters.

It's not going to be a bloodbath in 2024. There's a pretty good chance of losing the Senate. Of the 33 seats up for grabs, only 10 of them belong to Republicans.

I really do hope if the miracle happens and Democrats manage to keep the senate, regain the house and Biden wins that those slow ass fucks actually use the power the people gave them and actually start codifying tons of important shit that helps people, I mean legit hit the ground running because with the supreme court the way it is waiting around just helps Republicans foster their extremist desires. But more importantly they truly need to start putting younger names out there and build them up as a candidate for 2028 so the pendulum doesn't swing back to Republicans

I want to believe that Gen Z can save us, but today's outcome is going to be a clarion call for conservatives to fuck with students' rights and their ability to vote.

We saw it already in Texas where student IDs to state universities don't work, but CCW permits do.
