What a political middle finger to the Republicans. I love it when I can go to bed happy something horrible didn't happen, I tend to have bad sleeps for those...and when I'm a little amorous for some reason but that's a story for another day

They should be used to it by now. Even in the Ruby Red states like Alabama or Wyoming places like Birmingham and Laramie tend to be blue.

But MAGAts aren't known for their memory or intelligence I suppose.

Polling was way off. This wasn't close

The ballot measure in November likely won't be either. Even if you lose Republicans that voted no on principle, pro-choice folks should feel a lot better going into the election.

No they shouldn't.

Feeling good about it is the start of getting complacent. Which is when you lose.

I've always hated posts like these.

There's literally 1100 posters currently browsing these boards, unless by some miracle, every one of us lived in the same state, city, county, we could never truly swing an election. So this notion that praising the will of these people in Ohio, or Georgia, or Minnesota, or Michigan, or Pennsylvania can somehow cause complacency is just asinine.

It's probably leftover trauma from 2016 when so many people were very confident in Clinton's ability to easily win the election, which ultimately helped Trump win because millions felt there was no need for them to vote.

You're right it probably won't affect much of us here, however I've always seen those kinds of posts as addressing society at large, even if they likely won't read the post. But hey, there's also lurkers, so who knows.

When there's a nearly 40 point lead? It's typically a pretty safe call after you verify what votes from where have been counted.

Really this number going down only is concerning if most of the vote is coming from the cities. The cities are pretty solidly going to be No so if the majority of votes outstanding are from those counties then it's not a big deal. Without more information it's hard to say if the number going down is a good or a bad thing with a 3rd in.

So just to affirm this, Washington Post has a County by County Measurer you can see what % of the vote is in. The majority of the Yes counties are 1) Super small and low voter count and 2) are already mostly 50% already counted.

Cuyahoga County, which has Cleveland, only has 30% of it's vote tallied, and it is currently winning No at a rate of 85%. Montgomery County is currently 70/30 No with only 30% of the vote in. Hamilton county is 78/22% no with only 28% counted.

Ergo, the major cities where No is probably going to feast are currently still under voting compared to the majority of the Yes Counties that are depleting fast.
