What class did y'all pick? I'm running Monk

I'm a Bear Fucker!

I made a monk first but they got munched by a mind flayer because they critically failed a wisdom check. A monk!

I made a barbarian since that's what I played in early access a couple weeks ago. I was thinking about making a caster but I don't want to deal with spell slots since I'm not used to that system yet.

I'm just going through the options now, did anyone turn karmic dice off? I'm not sure I like the idea of dice rolls being influenced like that but rolling 5 1s in a row is probably also awful. but that's what quicksave is for.

when I played early access and left the first room I was like "lol this door looks like an anus" and now I see it's labeled Sphincter

I don't want to google this so I'll ask Herr. What's with all of the sex talk about the game? I have to assume you actually have sex in the game, right?

it's like dragon age but I think it might be more explicit because you get to pick genital types and everything

How does it compare to the older run of games?? Im curious on how the general tone and mood of the story is playing out for those familiar.

Is it more like Divinity meets Dragons Age or is it really Divinity meets Baldurs Gate. I guess my perception is a little skewed because the art direction and even parts of the UI are straight up
from Divinity.. I feel like thats a really important part in selling me the identity of a game, especially the Baldurs Gate series since you spend alot of time looking at it.

well tone wise you start off about to inevitably die and have to solve that problem. and if you don't do certain quests/save certain people then whole groups of NPCs can be wiped out. and you can also murder the whole goblin camp like I did

if you put a hat on it actually changes your character's hairstyle to match the hat

no wonder other devs are worried about their games being compared to this

I have one complaint so far

looting really needs to be one click instead of a double click for every item

Yeah, my cutscenes stutter a bit.

Is anyone else having an issue with screen panning using the mouse?

Every time I go through a cutscene or switch characters in combat it locks until I use WASD to move the camera manually.

I started on vulcan in EA cause the game made it sound better but dx11 was much smoother

How is the combat? Game good play for someone who hasnt played a game like this before? I like Skyrim and other rpg like that

Baldurs Gate 2 let you do romance questlines with various party members. It actually pioneered the concept and many western rpgs now do something similar. Like Dragon Age

I dont know if the sex is actually shown. In most games, when the sex is about to happen, the screen goes black and then time passes

I doubt the sex is actually shown. That would give the game an AO rating instead of M

It's pure pen and paper DnD made digital.
Battles are tactical, position your dudes, take an action, take bonus action, end your turn. Hope the dice roll in your favor (hit chances are shown above your target).

Anyone know where to access the non-ingame stuff that we got for our free upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam? I know the ingame stuff is in camp but the soundtrack isn't where my other Steam soundtracks are.

Edit: Well I found the stuff like the soundtrack and character sheets by looking through the local files, but it kinda bothers me the soundtrack isn't part of the Steam thingy even though I never use the feature <_<

Rhielle the High Elf Sorc in her lounging outfit.

I used the heterochromia to give her a messed up eye along the scar and then it ended up being the eye that has a lil'illithid in it so it worked out twice.

Female Human Bard. 8 Strength, 16 Dex, 10 Constitution, 10 intelligence, 14 wisdom, 16 charisma. Background guild artisan. Proficiency points in performance, persuasion, perception, deception, insight, and acrobatics. Probably just more of the healer / support / voice of the group.

It's... interesting to say the least so far lol. About the stutter, it was in early access as well. I think it's with how they stream textures and whatnot.

Really thinking about getting this. I have no idea how DnD works but didn't stop me in the 90's from playing BG2 and Planescape Torment.

Been racking my brain trying to figure out where I remember the narrator's voice from, and then it hit me that it's Malady from D:OS2.

Just got Karlach which I think rounds it up for all the Origin characters, and now I have no idea who to roll with. I used Lae'zel a lot back in Early Access because Fighter/Battlemaster stuff is fun, but Karlach is entirely new to me.

if you keep asking the tiefling kid who is trying to con you to keep flipping the coin, eventually he gets so annoyed that he just gives you the ring and then fucks off LOL

You just make your own character, there are party members you can recruit and manage. I'm sure you can solo if you want that challenge.

If its like the old games, its not like elder scrolls. The game is designed around a group. It might be possible to solo but its not recommended

forgot party members can die, got the druid killed because i stupidly jumped to the bottom in the goblin prison so he was left by himself... thank god his body had a scroll of revive

Yeah solo playthroughs are usually min/maxed to hell and considered challenge runs
