Looking for both answers. I'd prefer if people answered with who they prefer to play with, but if you want to talk about aesthetic preference, just say that you're going by how they look.

For me, my favourite Tekken character is JACK and my favorite Mortal Kombat character is Baraka. They both look awesome and I love how they play.

Lei, as I have always enjoyed kung fu movies. He brings it to the game. but if Lei isn't there, Yoshi is the way.

MK will always be sub scorp, as my core.

Don't know the MK characters well. For Tekken, it's Alisa.

For Tekken, Hworang.

Mortal Kombat is harder. I tend to cycle through Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi more than anybody. Out of the newer characters I quite like playing as Jacqi Briggs.

For Tekken, Wang by far since he was the most broken.

Tekken: Ganryu
Mortal Kombat: Hsu Hao

I been maining Lee since Tekken 2 and that aint changing. I also use Bryan

For MK. Sub Zero

Tekken: Jun (or when she's not available Xiaoyu)

MK: Kabal or Smoke

Tekken: Asuka and sadly Devil Jin as they gave T3 Jin's moveset to that nonsense

MK: Sub Zero and Noob Saibot

For Tekken it's Kazuya Mishima followed by Jin Kazama and then Heihachi Mishima.

For MK it's Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Baraka.

Tekken: Jun Kazama or Eddy Gordo

Mortal Kombat: Johnny Cage (Classic Sub-Zero for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 since no Cage)

Tekken: Jack, Anna, Bryan, Paul, Jin, Law

Mortal Kombat: Scorpion, Sheeva, Sektor, Cyrax, Jade, Sareena

Never really played mortal kombat, but yoshimitsu is possibly my favorite fighting game character period.

Tekken: Hwoawrang

MK: Scorpion from MK1-Armageddon, Stryker in MK9havent played X or 11.

Mk- jax

Tekken - Anna and Roger Jr.

MK - Mileena

Tekken: Yoshimitsu / Asuka

Usually I gravitate towards the Bruce Lee inspired characters in fighting games. Mortal Kombat was the exception. Ninjas are way cooler than martial arts lol. So Sub-Zero has been my favorite since day 1. But even if he wasn't in the game, Liu Kang never interested me.

But for other games:

When I used to play the crap out of tekken 3 it was Hwoawrang.

I'm not much of a huge tekken fan but if I played the newest one at some point and they are in the game I would use raven and leroy because they look cool to me.

Mortal kombat its always been about sub-zero.

I like scorpion, liu kang, raiden and kung lao also.

Kurtis Stryker is a favorite by concept. The guy went into outworld with a sidearm, grenades and a nightstick. He didn't know kung-fu. He was fighting stuff like Baraka the way most regular people would have attempted to.

I bought Tekken 7 Definitive Edition (on sale for $10) the other day and it's now fully downloaded.

Looking at the character roster, there's no site of Wang (Tekken 2) being present. :/

Can't believe I forgot about that. Yeah they're connected story wise with Wang and share similar moves.
