I only played the original baldurs gate, back when I was a preteen. I loved it back then

Theres a humble bundle with BG2 running now, but if you were in EA i'm guessing you're ready to jump right into 3.

That whole bear sex thing kinda put me off of it.

Yeah, I enjoyed both D:OS games and what I played of the early access version was cool.

D:OS 2 is my favorite CRPG of all time so hell yeah I'm excited

I'm not particularly excited about the 5e ruleset but I think it'll be enjoyable enough. Saying this despite BG2 being a contender for my favourite game of all time but the other hand I've never finished D:OS 1 or 2 as I got bored close to the end.

A bunch of developers are pissed at the game going "THIS IS AN ANOMALY DONT EXPECT US TO MAKE THIS MUCH CONTENT!"

With how bad Diablo IV and Path of Exile are currently, I could use a new game to spend most of my free time playing.

Back in the day, baldurs gate was one of my first real computer games. I snuck onto the family computer at night to play it.

I actually still thought it was coming out 31st, looks like my weekend is sorted.

I'm not hugely excited for Divinity Original Sin 3 wearing the severed face of Baldur's Gate.

I'm waiting to see what happens once the full game comes out and reviews can judge the entire thing and not just the Act I content, and I'm open to be convinced to get it. But nothing I've seen from early access excites me all that much.

Though considering all the stuff WotC has been doing lately, I'm extremely reticent to give them a single penny of my money until like 50% of their leadership gets fired and they make some HUGE policy changes. Because they have been anti-consumer as fuck for a while now. I feel like M:tG and D&D are pretty much dead brands for me for at least the next decade (if not forever).

Based on the preorder numbers it seems like the whole bear sex thing actually put a lot of people on to it.

i paid $89.95 in 2020 which is worth $98 in 2023 money just to play the roughest looking alpha for 60 minutes >:(

Well just got it, had to uninstall some other stuff. More games now days over 100gb.

I would love to play it once the Definitive edition comes out. OS2 was one of the best games I played in the 2010s but buying games just isn't in my future right now. I don't even have time to play the games I have.

I seriously need to discuss the disaster that is the current state of Path of Exile but I'm banned from /r/pathofexile for colossal levels of shitposting and can't be bothered to create another reddit account just to talk about how bad PoE2 is going to be for its inevitable mid-2025 release date. Legit will likely never play again and it's the game I have the 2nd or 3rd most hours played in for any game I've ever played (something like 5000+ hours).

Just got home from work so I can finally play, gotta decide what class to pick though.
