I almost fell on the floor at my local Wal-Mart when I read they wanted more pay.

I literally thought they were on strike because TV shows, movies, acting and writing have become such complete dog shit that they were simply too embarrassed to continue working until everyone was legally required to make quality entertainment again.

I can't believe they want more money. Nothing anyone has done in the entertainment industry over the last 3+ years deserves to be celebrated let alone see increased pay.

Are people actually rooting for the actors and writers?

Yes I'm rooting for all union strikes going on and I hope even more unions go on strike

I'm pretty much the reason why the politics board shut down.

Now I'm relegated to POTD once again, oh how the mighty have fallen.

actors feel like their identity is worth more than $200, which is what they want to pay actors so that they can replace them with an ai-version in perpetuity.

it's not that they "want more money"

it's that they want ai to get the fuck out of their industry.

I didn't know this and they're not worth $200 anyway.

They hired a Jimmy Kimmel writer to make the script for Quantumania. There's no way anyone would pay $200 for more of that.

if you resent the writers/actors for producing what you consider to be trash quality material and therefore you don't want them to get paid, why are you okay with the executives who run the companies making this trash material getting paid six figures a day to run that company in a way that produces trash content

I'm not trolling. What's the value in renting an apartment? You have a door with a lock, except that lock can be broken into in seconds. Okay, so what's the point?

Join a gym for showers, get some wifi, sleep in a hostel if you have to. Or move, but people really get upset when you say that.

It is never just about money. Companies always like to pretend it is, because then they can paint the strikers as unreasonable when they offer a slight pay increase, but nothing else and the strikers turned it down.

I can't remember the last time I watched a film, and I may watch 2-3 shows a year and I could absolutely do without them.
