Its really bizarre how gung-ho you guys are about seeing people you disagree with get in trouble, even if what theyre saying is 100% unworthy of consequence. Do you not realize how unhealthy that sort of culture is? Youre adding a level of uncertainty to the scenario that isnt meant to be there. By the same logic, the judge/jury could make a similarly inaccurate assessment and send the wrong guy to prison.

But thats not the point. The point is that there are situations where street justice makes 100% sense. Thats all.

Just because you don't want to acknowledge the uncertainty, doesn't mean it isn't meant to be there. That uncertainty is why prosecutors have to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Our justice system isn't perfect, but I'd trust DNA evidence from a rape kit over some guy saying "I saw his face" any day.

And we're not even touching on the worst parts of this. But you want this to be the hill you die on for some reason
