Yay! And there's still plenty of summer left to enjoy it. Well, hopefully anyway.

It might take up to 8 months to get the permit because it's a new type of pool but I'm a patient creature. And my loan is sitting in a high interest rate savings account accruing $250 a month in interest

I read that topic title as meaning that your pool is allowing something, not that you're getting a permit for a pool.

I bet the city wouldn't allow that because they don't want anyone to have any fun

It's a type of pool that isn't common in the US yet. They are commonly used in the Mediterranean areas like Italy.

https://biodesignusa.com/

It's just not a concrete/shotcrete pool so the permitting they usually do isn't just boiler plate. It's made of different materials and has a different build process.

Permits can be a huge pain in the ass, my Dad worked in construction for over 40 years. He would have plenty of rants about dealing with that stuff.

That's good because I don't want to do water aerobics

Yeah the permit for this pool in a nearby city just took 8 months and it was the first of its kind in that city. My city has given one permit for this type of pool before. So it could be a while.
