i've cooled on this song (ptb) a little bit compared to noms but i remain baffled it exists. thanks duel masters i guess? weight of the world is just not good no matter the language
i watched a playthrough of fight knight when going through the bracket for favs tbh and man that game goes hard

I would actually probably vote for this over a lot of things but unfortunately its against sakimoto. but I do like harsh fm and dissonance, even when like uh..this

I used to think of this Very separately, but now it's hard for me to separate this from Brat Overflow in my head and comprehend what i would think of the track if not familiar with that one. anyway great ost. sakimoto's electronic elements on this ost are some of my favorites from him ever, and while this isn't as full of that as brat overflow or his trippy electronic atmospheric tracks toward the end of the game, it still has quite a bit of the sound design I come to this soundtrack to hear. and it's still got his powerful tonal sense with lots of explorative melody-chord interactions that I like!

oh i expected to be voting nier but this is way too good I forgot. reminds me a lot of the maxo one that felt so weird to not vote for. just lots of jumpy harmonies that I don't anticipate

I vaguely rememebr playing GOLDEN RULE at round 1 when seeing the name Morrigan and getting excited. but it was too hard to hear Quite how good it actually is. it really does feel like class exsphere nosurge. man I love morrigan

Give Me My Money is very much a song I don't get. The interlude after "oh Jesus Christ" is pretty nice but the "jinjy five?" doesn't really appeal to me. Also that has got to be one of the worst implementations of a loop point I have ever heard, not a fan of the blue balls ending there.

Edge of the Future has definitely grown on me. I still prefer some of the more focused 13s stuff in this vein, rather than this "greatest hits" mix, though. That said, can we get some non-combat 13s in, though? There's so much great music that's just been completely unfeatured over the years. Also I assume "edge" is supposed to be ""? but wait, that doesn't really mean exactly the same thing. Hmm. i mean i could say something like "mirai kara ippo" but i dunno. Google translate uses "hashi" but that doesn't really make sense to me either; "edge" here to me means "on the brink of" and "hashi" does not. Oh! Mirai senjou! There we go. That's it. Or should I write it as "miraisen-jou"? I mean it doesn't matter at all spaces aren't real.

I like it when a singer truly lets her emotions show in a song. The singer breaking before the weight of the world (I apologize for nothing) gets me every time.

This is solid stuff, but it's gonna struggle against an all-time favorite. Honestly might have voted for it in the first match? Feels wonderfully aspirational, a ship coursing into the heavens. wow this is growing on me though. ooh the countermelody at 3:30 is so suave. oh god this wasn't supposed to be close. WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME DEO AND TOX?! I thought this was a matchup I was gonna be super sad when my chosen song loses but now I don't even know what I want!

Fight the tower is also incredible. And the final song is just pure electricity. What the hell is this day it is TOO GOOD you have SPOILED ME ROTTEN.

i have absolutely no idea how to respond to this.

im more a fan of calmer 13s songs. if anyone nominated in the doldrums, it would be a day 1 support. but the battle themes are pretty good too. i feel like they've kind of blended together in my consciousness a bit too much, but that could have just been the supra/vgmc exposure at play. that intro is so good, not sure how to articulate why i like it, but it's very sci-fi. this song feels very fitting for the game, there's some grandiosity, some flair. the mix of orchestral and synthy science-y stuff pretty good! not sure how i feel about the big vocal shift in the past two minutes or so. the transition felt too sudden for my ears.

i am a filthy WEIGHT OF THE WORLD/THE END OF YORHA simp, so this isn't my favourite version of this song. i say this as though i am not BAWLING MY EYES OUT once again!!!!! who the fuck is cutting onions in here FUCk YOU!!!!!!!! wtf ive been had ive been bam fucking boozled.

the beginning of this reminds me of an ace attorney pursuit theme which is complimentary but also such a mood whiplash lol. i love how this song doesn't stay in one place, and unlike edge of the future the different parts don't feel jarring to me. the horns kinda remind me of pokemon for some reason and there's some obvious rhythm game sounding stuffs. the big boom booms at the end kinda not doing it for me after weight of the world, but still a good track.

i like this better than in noms phase which is proof that noms phase is stressful af. chiptune infused music that gets a little dark and intense is pretty cool. i usually associate really chippy stuff with bright and bubbly feelings. idk if that's normal or not, but edgier stuff stands out more off topic but the goofy monsters on the ost image are cute.

i see why some may compare this to exsphere but part of why that song is so cool is how it tells a story through its music, which i don't quite get with this near as much. golden rule still has a LOT going for it though. probably my second or third favourite song of the day. the wubs aren't overpowering, the vocals haunting, strings dramatic. i think my favourite rhythm music usually tends to gear towards use of "natural/traditional" music (i say usually when i LOVE frums ) like if someone said this was a mashup or a remix of a jrpg theme id probably believe them.

GMM isn't a bad song despite its repetition. It's just not great. EotF is one of the very good 13S tracks. I love the singing.

Weight of the World is always okay. I don't think there's much difference between the versions, though the final version is the best one. Japanese might be better than the other two languages. non-vocal version when. Pop Team Battle is a ton of fun. Great modern spin on chiptunes without feeling too slavish to the original style of them.

Fight Night is a more boring chiptune without much going for it IMO. Still a fun melody, just not special. I've liked Golden Rule for a few years. Very chill song.

I believe in Fight the Tower reaching bracket D finals. GOLDEN RULE is at its best when the chanting, piano and synths are all working together, mainly 1:25-2:22 and around the end.

Voted Lost Forest, I think its far enough ahead of Dungeon.
