I am appalled by the numerous issues in the tweets. I wanted to address the unfair policy of the government imposing fees on small bills and then seizing peoples homes when those bills accumulated. But this tweet is one of the worst examples. I urge you to examine all of them and see how bad they are.

The actual article on the tweet is about a supreme Court ruling that states that the government is not allowed to keep any profit from home sales like in these stories.

Clearly the two situations are not comparable. A person in physical therapy has a reason for not being able to walk properly and cannot do so even if they try - and they ARE trying. You can clearly make coherent posts if you try, you just use whatever disability you're claiming to avoid making that effort.

That's three coherent posts in a row for you now. Trying does seem to help; maybe you should do it more often. No one is expecting perfection.

Yeah this isn't even remotely controversial, I wonder why it even got to SCOTUS. Also like, seizing a house over $134 is fucked up to begin with, let alone stealing the rest of the equity.

It's high time we've re-examined the useful purpose of piling on fines and fees for this sort of thing, or really anything.

You don't actually own your house. You're just paying for permission to rent it from the county.

The county can reach its fingers into your paycheck for child support, but not property tax?

Or, butt into the probate process. If grandma owed several years of back taxes, tack it to the estate after she dies.

I think I would literally burn down city hall if the local government had done that to me.
