Sucks that we lose Reilly so early. Hisam will go next. He's made himself a far bigger threat than she did.

Lol. Day 1 nomination challenge, barely comes in second on a rowing competition to the Olympic swimmer. Week 1 HoH comp, barely comes in second to the woman that that challenge was absolutely built for. Week 1 PoV comp, Week 2 HoH comp, and Week 3 PoV comp are all wins. Yeah Hisam isn't a huge threat or anything...

So, in case anyone was wondering if Daniel is still a massive jerk, he recently went on Youtube to deliver an apology, started it off pretty sincerely ("I've had a year to watch all the episodes, live feeds, etc.") then came in with the psych, "I apologize for nothing, I stand by every single thing I said and did."

I love how much Hisam just does not give a crap how he's coming across and he is completely and utterly screwed the second someone on the other side of the house wins HoH and he doesn't win Veto.

So far this season is very well balanced in that both sides of the house have people who are enjoyable to watch and people who are not, as well as people who are acting heroically and people who are acting villainously. So there really is no one side to root for. It also seems like the sides are fairly well-balanced in terms of challenge strength, which could actually make it a good, close game. I'm cautiously optimistic that this could be the best season since I've started watching (BB18).

Hisam is hilariously un-self aware.

But I wanna talk about the challenge. Specifically, how much Dusty sucks. Josh? Sure, he's obnoxious, but he's effectively a challenge vet himself. But Dusty, you're a fucking NEWBIE, and you're one of only TWO Amazing Racers, and you can't even stick with a plan that will protect your Amazing Race buddy from elimination? The fuck? I guess he's too busy fawning over Bananas.

You're actually watching it after the disaster of a first season? I had no desire to watch after hearing about that, and doubly so when there's really only one person on the cast that I really wanted to see again (Luis). And now I find out that he's an early boot. This show just keeps finding ways to validate my decision.

Chris
Josh
Luis
Alyssa Lopez
Cassidy
Chanelle
Michaela
Michele
Tiffany

Those are the people I would've been interested in watching it for again. Dusty, Monte and Tyler are the ones that would actively make me not want to watch if I were even remotely interested. Which is a smaller list than I thought but still.

I watched last year, unfortunately, and I'm surprised to see people talking about it. Here and in other places. I decided to never watch that show again given how it went through three strikes in the second hour of the finale alone (lying about the prize money, what they did to Desi and Angela [them being the two hottest women on the season had nothing to do with my ire], and the worst, most unlikable winner ever). I keep wondering if people have a short-term memory, but I know Inviso does not, so... explain.

The first season was a fun watch up until the finale. It's one of those journey-over-destination things. Plus, I've watched five seasons of Tough As Nails, and even last season of Challenge USA was more interesting than that. This season is interesting, and I have a vested interest in the successes and failures of the players, even if I hate a lot of people.

See, if it were just one of the three things I listed, I wouldn't have minded it as much. But that finale showed me just how badly-produced the entire thing is. The fact that Karen won despite her incessant entitled whining all season just made me want to vomit, ruining the triumph that Danny had also won. I would have given it another chance despite that horrific ending because of the journey thing, but no, they also lied to the cast (and the viewers for most of the season) about how the prize money works and then were hugely unfair to Desi and Angela in the finale. Desi being eliminated because cats can't swim was terrible when they could've just let Enzo drown and paired two women up, and this screwed Angela who was expected to expend all of her energy by doing that obscene shoveling task solo.

It was the consistent badness that made me realize I couldn't trust the show to treat me like an intelligent viewer, so I didn't even consider watching season 2. Survivor is starting to exhibit similar problems tbh

This season as a whole has honestly been really, really good and despite having seen less than a third of the series there's no doubt in my mind that Hisam has to be one of the greatest pre-jury villains the show has ever had.

I haven't really been watching but from what I know, he reminds me of Devin from BB16. Won an HOH and Veto in the same week, caused a nuclear meltdown at that Veto meeting, and turned the whole house against him, leading to him being backdoored.

Tonight's eviction is the first of the season where I have no clue what's going to happen. Jag is the bigger physical threat but Cirie might try to break up the Jared/Blue thing. Blue is entertaining both in personality and her showmance with Jared, the latter being an interesting strategic component as well, while I'm fairly neutral on Jag.

This rumor may still be true. There's apparently an unaired season between 34 and 35 that still followed the COVID protocols and filmed in South America.

No idea if/when it'll be aired because it was skipped due to the change to 90-minute episodes. Apparently the season couldn't accommodate the extra length because of how it was filmed.

Just watched last night's episode.

First off, I hate Cameron, so there's something absolutely hilarious about the fact that he wasted 14 hours in the pressure cooker, missed out on setting a record by five minutes, and the end result is that his HoH effectively got cancelled by a twist that saved one of America's favorites from his HoH reign. It's the exact opposite of how BB6 played out, so I find that amazing, and watching him try not to act mad about it during the live show was great.

Second, I don't care if it's a steamroll. This must be how the Level 6 fans felt during BB20, because I love seeing Cirie control the house and basically make everyone else look foolish. Her core alliance is far more interesting than the Chillbillies, or Americory.

And then for the Challenge, Tiffany was absolutely right to call out Josh. The guys are playing SUCH a scared game, and it's kinda bullshit how they've gotten a numerical majority and use it to just push for constant women's eliminations, even though eventually they're gonna have to face each other if they want to win the season. That being said, hoooooooly shit Tiffany is one of the easiest people to beat ever. This is twice now where she's being a complete liability in competitions, and gotten dusted for it.

Anyway, I think the internet is overhating on Cameron. I certainly don't like him but I just kinda find him very mildly irritating. Since episode 1 the internet has been utterly tearing the guy a new one down to criticizing the way he stands and it feels excessive.

They don't, because that would be against the spirit of the show and, as much as I think the online BB fanbase in general are a bunch of holier-than-thou babies, the feeds do expose genuinely problematic behavior that is often cut or at least softened in the edit and at least some action is generally taken by the producers in response to fans calling it out, whether that's removing someone, warning someone, or implementing stricter conduct rules, and more recently appropriately throwing people under the bus in the edit. So I think what's going to happen here is they warn the offender and add that word to the zero-tolerance pool starting next season.

I say usually because BB20 of course saw one of the biggest travesties where a contestant who, by today's conduct standards, would have been ejected on like six different occasions kept getting tiny little slaps on the wrist and was completely shielded by the edit and made into a snarky, comedic villain who was a fan-favorite among those who didn't follow the feeds.

I would sooner expect them to make the feeds a little less "live" so that the camera operators have a greater chance to shut things down before the feed viewers get to hear anything. Feeds cut out mid-conversation all the time as it is, so who would really know the difference?

What's basically happening is that everyone trusts Cirie and tells her everything; she in turn tells Jared everything so that they are on the same page, and half the time he goes and tells people and the original person finds out and realizes there's only one person who could have told him.

Furthermore, he's in a showmance and more or less blatantly told her that his mother is also in the game and there's realistically only two people that it could possibly be and even though he tried to insinuate that it's the other, the showmance is pretty certain that it's actually Cirie.

Apparently Jared used a slur - the R-word - but has yet to be removed from the game. So Luke can get banned for saying the N-word but Jared doesn't get the same treatment for a term that's just as pejorative? Talk about double standards, Grodner.

Also, yes, Jared is an idiot, and inherited none of his mother's wisdom. I don't know how a sexist, ableist piece of crap like him got raised by Cirie tbh... it doesn't reflect well on her that he's this untamed.

Jared just generally being nasty to people.
Red is really upset because he feels betrayed by Cameron, the only person in the house he related to.
Jag, the guy who was spared elimination last week by a twist, is being set-up to be eliminated for real this week at the hands of his own alliance and he has absolutely no idea and he's kind of a sensitive guy and I can just see him being absolutely heartbroken by the blindside.
