I've been wandering around doing shrines and whatever as I do, but I got to a tower and couldn't do anything. I guess I should actually the story in this game sooner rather than later. I did find some Fierce Deity Boots (armor) though, so that's fun.

Also, free tip, although most of you are past this point: it is important to follow the first prompt on the surface in the center of Hyrule Field. I didn't and I came to a point where a character brought me high up, told me to use a paraglider to get down, and I DIDN'T HAVE IT YET, because Lookout Landing in the center is where you get it.

Just completed the 3rd shrine, so I'm assuming I can't fast travel and have to make my way all the way back.

You can fast travel to all visited shrines, and some other locations too.

Okay, fighting alongside the monster-control crew is awesome.

Not at the beginning. In the beginning, you have to basically travel from one shrine to the other with no fast travel.

I'm not use to the ascend function yet. I keep spending 20 minutes fusing random shit together to MacGyver my way up to an area... and then I remember ascend exists.

Blupees are more common at least, and they seem to drop more rupees as well. Though it's still a pathetic amount compared to selling gems.

I just made it to Rito Village. Now I'm not sure if I want to do the whole Rito questline or make a trip down to Hateno for the dye shop. I like how the new item system basically gives you a nice replacement for Revalis Gale in the form of pinecones.

The actual replacement for Revali's gale is like 3x better.

it's horizontal gust only but instantaneous activation, can be activated mid glide, and recharges fast enough that even with default stamina you can use it multiple times

It looks like there's a lore reason for the weapon durability now, but it just makes durability in botw make even less sense

so if you fuse two weapons the dura combines which can get some weapons out of the red. It's not an outright repair. Fusing zonai devices and monster parts doesn't seem to repair a weapon at all.

I really hate how everything has huge amounts of HP and basically one shots you.

Im sure itll get better later when I have more than 5 hearts but Im so sick of fighting mobs and doing everything perfectly until one thing just stabs me and takes all 5 straight up.

Has anyone tried fusing a shield with a spring and then having an enemy hit you? I'm kinda curious if there's an upper limit on normal enemies that wouldn't work on.

Yeah right now I've been just avoiding any mobs that look like they'll beat my ass until I build myself up more. But it's also pretty easy to make yourself OP for the early-mid game if you want to go that route.

Watch out for things fused with zonai devices for some reason when the enemy has them they do way more damage than they should
