I think the Lakers would like to keep him. The problem is that they don't really have the cap space to match what another team could offer him.

so we have 10 game window without games. They could have staggered games more and not PUT EVERY NUGGETS GAME ON AT TEN PM GD

Well, the NBA doesn't adjust its schedule for when both series end early, so the large gap would be a result of the double sweep (if the Heat finish the job tomorrow).

In order to get a win percentage like that, ESPN must be calculating that Boston has an average of a 77% chance to win each of the 3 remaining games against Miami. Seems pretty high. Dunno if they're just including regular season results in the metrics.

ESPN's metrics are largely based on regular season stats which is why Boston was given like a 97% chance to win the series when it freshly started. Miami are like the worst type of team for those sort of analytics because regular season Miami and playoff Miami are such different beasts

it almost certainly isn't adjusting rating much (if at all) based on playoff performance, or if it is, it probably is over-weighting the effect of miami's poor health (which admittedly wasn't all that obvious)
