yea, kinda used to it with fgo but yeah, 10mins of playtime a day is a bit too little.

Got to lvl 50, tried World 3 diff 4? whatever unlocks at lvl 50. My party was still lvl 60 but it managed to beat it using Preservation Gepard. I almost threw by taking the shared damage thing. It turns out because Seele loses her shield so quickly, it's a bad idea as she takes full dmg.

Anyways, a properly built Gepard is always the last to die. Consider that, his revival passive sure is useless.

Also can confirm the lvl 50 equilibrium does drop 2 gold equipments, making it doubly efficient to get to lvl 50 asap

Forget what I said, it's a chance to drop 2 gold. Around 30-40%? Not enough data to know, surely somebody out there has the answers

it's definitely better that people are saying that you shouldn't farm relics until 50 outside of making initial sets for everyone and just using it for xp or smth.

I did all the quests and spent a few stam pots for it. I think it might end up being worth to rush a bit, but I'm still holding out to seeing if their event will get any better. Why the fuck does this like randomized fight event only have 5 rounds lmfao. Would it have killed them to do a few more rounds if they were gonna time gate it anyways? Makes no sense

I mean I also thought about it, and all your other quests also get similar efficiency. This makes it so that depending on the actual drop rate of 2 golds vs 1 gold, equipments aren't that bad to farm asap. Not to mention you don't ever have to fiddle with them as you're ascending, so it lets you focus on other things later on.

Making 2 full sets is pretty optimal, and at least having one of each orb eq for each element is not bad either.

yeah, but relics do have some rng beyond just the droprate, it's definitely still recommended to have something good on your most important units though.

Also the Boxing Tourney isn't actually random or smth, people have done it side-by-side and it's all the same enemies.

Yeah, its pretty annoying that they do the randomization when it means fuck all. I had to repeat stuff because I didnt notice there were rewards for finishing with 8 rounds left, which was when I noticed that the enemies were always the same :<

This game definitely time gates drops harder then Genshin so far. Traces alone adds a whole different grind on top of everything sharing the same drops. Idk still only level 50 so maybe it gets better at 60 or 65

Naw it's still pretty bad lol.

I just don't like the artificial gates. Like unlocking whole new level tiers should mean easier access to mats. But even at lv60 cap, you can do 6 runs of something and still only come up with 1-2 blue mats for traces or what have you most of the time. I know you can synthesize to upgrade mat tiers but that just feels like silly watering down

It's frustrating, yeah. I have my monthly thing going for two more weeks, I'll probably be dropping it after that tbh.

I'll see how it goes for the time being, Genshin felt kinda slow too but you didn't really feel it since exploration is the main attraction and takes way more time to do then the story so you don't really pay attention much to your damage or skills until your close to max adventure rank. Here its rougher the only thing left to do for now is aim for the abyss equivalent so you put more focus on improvement.

Got Jing Yuan at around 50 pity, my luck continues to be fantastic with this game. Now to save for Silver Wolf and Luocha.

SU definitely provides enough interesting gameplay to keep me playing despite the slow rate of character improvements.

All my main party members are at 4/6/6/6 for their traces and I'm still at least 3-5 days until I can raise my EQ further

Yeah, there are things I like, like the story (for the most part), but Im finding stuff like traces, relics, and SU such a drag. I groan every time I see the max SU points for the week increase. It really doesnt help that Im not particularly interested in any of the limited banners we know about. If I continue, Ill probably have to go for Luocha. I dont really want him, but Ill probably need a second healer.

SU is nice but I got bored of it, too. x_x Can't even progress with the Hall due to having one healer, my second being Luocha ages away. Unless I get lucky with standard passes before that.

They definitely need to introduce another 4 star healer since Hall progression necessitates one.

Yeah, SU has lost its lustre for me as well and the grind is beyond obscene. AND feels like are half a dozen obscene grinds, not just one.

The gameplay and story are fun though

I'm not a farming/grinding type so I need some content to hold my interest.

I'm only engaged at the moment because I want to farm jades for Silver Wolf and Kafka.

So I just got Clara for free from the standard Stellar Warp banner by spending the free star rail passes that the game occasionally gives out. What's the best way to use her If I only have her, Himeko, and the free units to work with until Silver Wolf comes?

The same 10-pull that gave me Clara also gave me Himeko's 5-star light cone, so that was a nice bonus too.

I use March to shield her and increase her aggro, increasing how much she gets her counters off.

All right, I'll try that out once eventually get Clara caught up with the rest of my characters. Back to the grind, but thankfully my team of Trailblazer (Preservation), Natasha, Himeko, and Asta has been great for auto-ing through material farming stages.

Clara can do insane amounts of damage if you let her.

Depends on element coverage. You could also use Tingyun to buff Clara and let her slap fool left and right.

Genshit was just as slow as this game, and the first event they did where you just beat up a pile of enemies was incredibly lame as well. I was honestly shocked when Genshin kept it going, realized that I just think people have extraordinarily high tolerance to running out of content for Mihoyo stuff.

But I do think despite being a turn based game, Star Rail is sorely lacking in content. I think if they focused less on writing, it'll benefit them. Most of their writing is probably not read by 99% of their players, nor do a majority of them have to do with the main story. When the writing and pacing in Luofu is so bad, maybe it's time to put the breaks on the random text finds and npc dialogues that feel repetitive or non-additive and focus more on the main content.

And the side events are so poorly thought. The stupid arena event cannot possibly fucking be hard to make. 5 Rounds? Make that shit like 15 rounds with scaling difficulty. Like why is that so hard? It's not like anything changes between the rounds so it's baffling to me

I tell you what though, when the optional notes actually have to do with the backstory or history of actual relevancy, I do read them. I think some do expand a bit more on whatever might've happened. But like if I have to fucking read about how Supreme Commander #8 500 yrs ago took a dump and it froze right away or some shit, then I'm just not gonna read them. It doesn't enhance the experience of the game, maybe hurts it because somebody had to spend time writing that shit and coding it into some location.

If the same time went into even 1/10 of a new fight, I think I'd be happier. Just give me better fights. SU is cool but it's getting easy because Preservation is basically 100% win rate at one point, stamina system is suffocating, gem income is grossly slow for a game with stupendously low rates and a lot of fucking light cones locked behind banners majority of the player base won't pull from.

The game is probably gonna be a long term success, but it's like when League of Legends had stupid amount of popularity despite the game being full of bugs and terrible mechanics with deceptively thin layer of complexity. Riot fucking sat on a goldmine IP for 5 years til they finally started pulling out other games and shows in the IP, which most were a huge success, and none of it contributed to League's growth. It's basically a dying game in NA, when it was the biggest game in NA for like 6 or so years. Sometimes things succeed despite the development and the company. I think Star Rails will succeed despite itself. I'm not too hot on it but my opinion doesn't really matter

I don't have Tingyun. Like I said, I only have Himeko, Clara, and free characters.

I'll give the game another month or so before I decide whether I'm going to drop it or not. Between the lack of story content (even if what we do have is very good), the mediocre event that provided very little content, the time that dailies/weeklies take to do (even if I auto through them), and the sheer amount of grinding it takes to keep characters caught up with the enemies you face, it's already starting to lose its luster for me and I'm not sure if the slow drip feed of content is worth the daily/weekly grind. But maybe the next update and event will make me more optimistic.

I am finally giving the game a chance. After the current gacha game I was playing (The Quintessential Quintuplets one) suddently stopped working for me, and couldn't recover anything I had on the account, I am downloading this game right now. Hopefully it catches my attention enough that I won't stop playing it when SF6 releases.

Nice. I would recommend taking your time with it. At the moment were limited on story content (even with the forced level gated stuff) so I'd enjoy the ride, especially since with the stream for 1.1 we don't know how soon until they release more story content.

Pela can be a 4* in every banner till I get her E6 tbh. Or at least E4 I think people say that is the strongest eidolon she gets.

Honestly the way they're handling new content is just shit. It's ok to take time to release content but where they can basically buy time, they're not doing shit cuz they know people who play their games have an unreasonable amount of tolerance to practically nothing for a month

I have a theory as to why there is so much optional writings in MiHoYo games. I think that in order to develop a consistent world and lore, they probably have the staff write those short stories. And instead of keeping them as internal documents they just, make them available optionally to the players. In that sense, I don't really think it really takes away to include it, even if only like 1% of the players will ever read it, because all the important people, the world developers, probably do read them, and use it to inform whether say, a certain NPC is in a certain area, or how to design the city layouts, and such.

You're putting a bit too much faith into it. The problem is that I did read quite a few of them, and most are history or fluff that contribute absolutely nothing to a meaningful world building, some intended to be light SoL type humor, some baffling that somebody ever took their time to write it.

The problem is that they're taking precedence over a severe lacking of content where there easily could've been. If they reduce optional trash by 20% and create even 1 meaningful event, it'd be nice
