New DMM gacha called Twinkle Star Knights is coming out in a few days (7/7, specifically).

Since it's the same devs as Flower Knight Girl, Mist Train Girls, and Monmusu TD, there's a 4-way collab going on where doing the tutorial for each one will get you a 10-roll.

More importantly, though. I was suspicious of why Twinkle was in the name, and sure enough, it's a rebrand of Twinkle Crusaders.

I ended up getting like 4 3* on Takt. I doubt this game will survive. But fucking goddamn the art and music still get me far more than any other gachas. Story is mid to low, gameplay is doody, random stat thing doesn't seem too impactful to me outside just getting attack/crit for dps and tank for tank. Like it's not really all that stimulating.

They do have like a pseudo roguelike as well which can be quaint somewhat. Their tea making mini game makes fucking no sense, with a whole second latency on a timing one at the start to boot, for whatever reason.

This game outside the art and music just has things. I dunno if they fully understand why they insert half the things they do into the game. This one main story had like 2 branching paths, but hilariously, you can wrap around from one path to the end of the next one, and it freaking activated the other event backwards lmfao. Confused me

But I got Elise from the Fur Elise fame. She's got the ballerina thing going, very like smoothy moody type face too. Love her style, and she's pretty op as far as I can tell. Also got Walkure from the Call of the Valkyrie, who's one of the main girls in the main story. She's honestly not particularly more than Jupiter, but she does heal? There aren't any hard content to know for sure if I got anything good, but the worst part is that when I'm underleveled to simulate any difficulty, I get fucking crushed cuz there's no good way in the game to deal with a powerful AOE outside just hoping your healer is on a good turn order

At least it's not like E7/SW style games where speed is oppressively good. Everybody only gets 1 action per turn, as it fucking should be

Fuck it, Im not even gonna wait until I get DStella. I just uninstalled OUTERPLANE. Theres some bug thats keeping me from sweeping stages I already beat, and its annoying me to no end.

Oh cool, Titan is coming to Takt Op tomorrow. That's sooner than I expected.

Btw I'm dumb. The ballerina 3* in Takt was Swan Lake. Similar motif might work for Fur Elise but Swan Lake just makes sense a hell a lot more. They really just put elegance for like 5 people in one girl.

But the hilarious thing is that in the dialogue, which is not perfectly translated in any way, they keep fucking calling her The Swan Lake, like The is just the part of her fucking name. I dunno the exact convo but imagine saying like "Are you okay, The Swan Lake?"

Also funny thing is I talked about the iconic piece in Carmen, Habanera. One of the Memories thingy references it actually, with Carmen on the art and the name having Habanera.

I got Titan and another 3-star character, Elise, in only my second 10-pull. I'm not going to use Elise (she's a Blader and I already have a 3-star Blader in Fantaisie, plus Destiny herself is a Blader too) but getting Titan so quickly is awesome luck. Now I can start saving pulls for future girls, like maybe the other version of Destiny from the anime when she arrives.

Elise is sadly pretty bad from the little I used her. She hurts herself when using skills until she's 40% hp, but she's not built like a tank so she's susceptible to immediately dying at her peak strength. I feel like a berserker character needs way more perks than just doing 25% more dmg at low hp, unless some later upgrades give her better stuff

A lot of the 3* conditions in quests and fights are keeping all of them alive, so yeah Elise gets in the way of that

Priconne: Somehow got two 3*s in 30 pulls, but of course, rate-up is a lie. Halloween Suzuna, Magical Monika, but no Summer Neneka yet.

Shangri-La Drive: Still getting fuck all, trash rates.

Twinkle Star Knights: Yep, this is the Twinkle Crusaders gameplay I remember. Though there are way more ass shots than I remember.

I had a good starting roll, but I'd like one or two more cute lolis to round out my current team.

So Takt does a shit job of explaining the Memories, which are like equips. They don't seem to have upgrading RNG, which is at least way better than the E7 style where you get random sub stats. They do come with sub stats from obtaining them, and the upgrading resource is easy to get

Now they're probably confusing and you're shoving whatever the hell in each slot. The UI in this section is painfully fucking bad, but you kinda have to like tap the background a bit and fudge the scrolling if you want to actually scroll down. It's pretty terrible

So before you actually equip though, you go through the story til you unlock the memory group thingy. Those groups actually determine which equipments you need to slot in.

Each equipment have an attack (red)/ defense (blue)/ heal (green) color to them. You have to make them match the color that's denoted by the memory group. Otherwise they're not active.

You also don't get the bonus from the group if you don't fill out all of it with the right color, which means you do actually have to have a healthy mix of all 3 farmed.

It's possible to get 3 groups, but for some chars, it'll be way better to just have like 2 groups with more impactful stuff. There's like a 20% buff for single target and stuff like that.

Again, like most things with Takt, it's like one step forwards, then it gets shocked by somebody playing a kazoo really loudly and falls over its head. If it weren't for the art and music... urgh... I don't really expect it to live very long

Supposedly the anime that was a precursor to this was ok, and it was written by somebody else. This one merely piggybacks off the setting with a worse gacha protag'd version of the MC.

PGR had its 3.5 anniversary stream. Like they were hinting at up to this point, Lamia is officially playable (Dark/Attacker Omniframe) as of this upcoming event. They also showed off new skins for Karenina, Lee Hyperreal, Noan, Selena, and Lamia.

There was also a teaser of a new S-rank frame for Watanabe and a teaser for the upcoming Black Rock Shooter collab event.

On a whim, I just re-downloaded D4DJ Groovy Mix for the third time. I'm in the mood to play a rhythm game again, and this is the one I enjoyed the most out of the ones I've tried. BanG Dream and Project Sekai just didn't hit the same for me.

Edit: Right now, speculation is going wild over what his damage type will be. The primary guess is that he'll replace Lucia Plume as the ice team's attacker.

They apparently updated Brown Dust 2 to make it less grindy. But not enough for me to get back in, since a terrible PvP mode is a dealbreaker for me. And boy does that game have some of the worst PvP ever :<

The normal method of getting bookmarks to summon is by buying them. 100 gems for 1 pull, or 950 for 10. Then I saw a video that said that people crunched the numbers, and its actually a lot better to try and buy bookmarks in the regular shop that rotates items. I think theres a .66% chance of them popping up in the shop or something, and if you just spend 3 gems to refresh the shop over and over, the odds are that youll be able to get bookmarks for far less.

And its working for me. First time I got it at 11 refreshes, so 33 gems compared to the normal 95, and the second I got it at 26, so 78. It takes more time and some gold to buy them, but thats a resource thats far easier to come across.

I kinda want to keep track of the numbers for a while to see how this goes :3

Also theres a .17% chance of getting Mystic Medals which are used for summoning special units, so those can be a happy bonus, because theyre even harder to get normally. My last refresh session got some :D

Yeah they changed the rates several times I think from when I played, but the secret shop refresh has always been the more gem efficient way to get bookmarks. It's just not money efficient, and money can be hard to get at the time.

PNC is kinda notorious that it is kinda impossible to reroll due to the length of the prologue + tutorial.

Oh, yeah, Neural Cloud was a bitch. I took the time to reroll but never got Hubble. I also didnt get most characters I wanted besides Wolverine girl :<

I just heard that, in the future, there will be S rank character rate-ups on the standard banner in PGR (the blue tickets one, not the yellow/orange ticket one). CN had one or is having one now.

In the Standard Banner, there will a be 100% rate up selector for S ranks up to 21: Feral Scent (the Amplifier). Mind you, not a character selector but a rate-up selector. It's one time and permanent. You can use blue tickets since it's in the Standard Banner.

If this proves to be true, and I'm taking it with a grain of salt since it's secondhand information, I might just avoid blowing all my Basic Construct tickets on ranking up Bambinata and save up for that rate-up! I'll be able to SSS3 Karen then, maybe.

Wooooo 20 and 8 for my most recent tries, and the 20 one got me 3 mystic summons along the way :D

That's just the nature (lol) of gacha tbh. 3% for highest rarity (and only 27% among that 3% would give you the banner character) is small no matter how you look at it.

On the bright side, you got a highest rarity always at 60 max (at worst 4 highest rarity at 180 pulls which is the trade cut-off), which is more than many similar gacha in the market.

Edit: also the general game is easy enough anyway.

I mean being easy is a non-issue though. I only play games with characters I like, with the goal of getting those characters. And I keep using those characters, even if they're bad. It's why I reroll; to start with at least one of my favorites, because it keeps me motivated to keep playing and building them up. I know it's bad to need instant gratification, but it's just hard for me to do the "carrot on a stick" approach and play to get a character in the future. Unless, say, I know the character won't be out for a while but I have someone to keep me busy until then while I save up.

Like I have a bunch of units I'm working on in Epic Seven while I wait for the Guilty Gear collab rerun, same for War of the Visions and the Nier rerun. Jack O' and 2B will return eventually. In the mean time I'll be hoarding my currency and working on buddies for them :3

Oof, did anyone hear about the controversy with Harry Potter: Magic Awakened? People are PISSED, and rightfully so. So here's what went down...

• The game has a battle pass that you can only buy with premium currency. Normal.
• There's a sale where you get double the currency for your purchases. Still normal.
• Update...
• They change it so you can only buy the battle pass with real money.

Hard gachas are pretty good imo, and they all happen to be the gachas I stick with for a while. Honestly that's what made the mid game of E7 so memorable to me, cuz there was a lot of figuring out and rewarding creativity (also punishing creativity with unequip cost bs, money gating etc.).

Though I guess Korean hard kinda goes too far. Most of the time they're just like stat checks or ridiculous reactionary play. Guardian Tales was great until they went way too far with some of the double digit World stuff. Like ridiculous bullet hell where 2-3 hits kill you is too far esp on a freaking phone screen control that has next to no precision.

But all the JP gachas are pretty easy. The hardest is PAD by far. It might actually be one of the most difficult gachas ever made. At its peak, you needed gacha luck, team build science (it's really hard to netdeck teams because you can have an insane range of card pool, so you have to actually learn why they built the team in such ways and basically build your own version), actual dungeon execution (the hardest part). It's not always great, but I think one of my best gacha experience was going for one of the titles, which is only open for a week for the entire life of the game, and you're put under time constraints beating dungeons that you need a guide for. It takes insane planning ahead and really fast processing skills to all the crazy situations they throw at you. I didn't have all the optimal units so I had a build very different from the whales and other cookie cutters for people who got lucky

Sad that modern PAD went too far ages ago. Most of the obstacles in the modern ages absolutely require 1-3% pulls from like 4-5 different biweekly events. They also gradually shut down fan made websites that had dungeon details. The Chinese site somehow survived, but I could not decipher them, cuz the translator really struggles with game mechanic terms

Then I bet you'd just love the new heights E7 went to in terms of Korean hard lol. For the current event, you need the current limited banner character to get buffs against the boss. It's INSANELY difficult to clear the 4th or 5th level in the event without getting at least 3 copies of the limited character for higher buffs lol.

And as expected, the fans are not pleased. Smilegate at the very least lowered the difficulty and gave some rewards, although it's still basically a requirement to pull the banner character to complete the event. So people are still pissed since that was a really half-assed solution, as everyone knew that the issue was making a limited character mandatory is scummy as hell.

This is just the first half of the event. I can't wait to see what SG does for the next half. Because they're gonna have another limited event character, and if they pull the same shit where she's mandatory to win... Hoooooo boy.

I've seen the E7 atmosphere nowadays. I think checking their subreddit out every few months is kinda entertaining. Most of the people who won't take Smilegate's shit left ages ago. They know the masochistic few are left, and to be fair, they kinda have that 4 character 3 skill speed turn turn based RPG format down pat. They had a whole phase in their first year where the same 8ish characters were just able to beat every content in the game. I guess they're back to making the flavor of the month unit and content just to make them look good.

Honestly for how bullshit she was for the longest time, one of my favorite design SG ever did was Seaside Bellona. She probably had too much damage on her counter, since just def break was already pretty strong. But she was cool and pretty balanced and usable for single player content, since she can basically pivot to being a def break bot on single target units and then go AOE for mob spawning bosses

Wow, just 2 and 13 refreshes for my last 2 bookmark hunts in the shop. All those wasted Skystones when I could've been exploiting the shop like this D:

It's best girl Banana's birthday in Revue Starlight ReLIVE today, and I hate how this game does birthday events now. They give each girl two birthday units, the first is pulled with the normal star gems, and the second is pulled only with encore tickets you get from pulling on the first banner. The first banner has a hard pity guaranteeing a 4-star at 100 pulls, but each 4-star (pity or not) only has between a 30% and 60% chance (depending on which step of the banner you're on) to be the banner girl. Then the second banner also has a hard pity at 100 pulls, but thankfully every 4-star girl you get is guaranteed to be the second birthday girl.

It took me 160 pulls to get the first birthday Nana (I never hit the hard pity because I pulled like a dozen other 4-star girls along the way), then I had to do a bunch more pulls (so many that I lost count) on that banner to get enough encore tickets to get the second birthday Nana. My luck was terrible and I had to go all the way to the hard pity of 100 pulls for the second one.

It took all 82,000 star gems that I had saved up, but my banana collection remains complete. Stuff like this is why I ignore every single banner that isn't a new banana. Because if I take the bait even once on something else, I may not have enough for the newest banana and miss out.

I want to pull but looking at my pulling plans its either roll on this banner or the Chong Yue/Lin one. I want to have enough saved up to guarantee the MH units and spark Gavial in the next Summer banner, so I really need to skip all the banners I can.

After some terrible luck in Revue Starlight yesterday, it was probably a dumb decision for me to tempt fate again in Takt Op. But despite knowing this, I decided to try and pull for Winter (she's on rate-up and she works well with Titan and other Eternity faction characters) and I actually got her on my first 10-pull.

So yeah, it all worked out, and I rewarded the game for the good luck by buying a $5 monthly pass.

Anyone try My Sweet Home Dungeon? It seems pretty neat so far. Gameplay is basically like Counterside/Battle Cats kind of thing with a slight twist. It's the same in that you have automatically refilling energy that you use to summon units on a cooldown, but rather than having a ship/tower power, you actually have your MC on the field. And you can possess units that you have out (one at a time) and control them. You can move left or right, do a normal attack, a skill, or possess a different unit. And you also get to equip one generic skill from a big list to always have available, regardless of who you're possessing.

I swear they stole Brave Nine's UI though... And this may just be me, but their first banner character reminds me of one of BN's units too.

I don't have enough patience to wait for fools to walk to the end anymore lul. Well Battle Cats and CS were both pretty fun for a while tho

Well the maps are a lot smaller so you don't need to wait as long lol. Also you don't need to deal with the frustration of a key unit walking straight into a devastating attack just because the AI is dumb as bricks; just possess him and make him walk back :D

I do somewhat miss CS, but the way they handled the Hololive collab was just unacceptable. "Hey global, you guys are gonna be so hyped! You're getting a collab that Asia didn't have! It's... COSTUMES! Costumes where there's a chance of getting at most a single random one. The rest you have to shell out $37 for."

I have never been so disappointed with a collab as I have with Counterside and it just shattered my faith in them :((

Was not expecting the Sudden Oberon drop. Took 510 SQ to get Moth. Now Meluko will truly shine.

Also finished Lostbelt 6 last night. That was fun.

So Reed's EN voice is Melina from Elden Ring. I may roll for her after all, maybe I'll even get her early since there's no way I get shit luck in both Arknights and FGO at once, right?(Got all the Tam Lins, Baobhan and Barghest at NP2 even, but no Vitch or mothman)
