Have you encountered a romantic prospect who met all or most of your requirements, except they had bad breath and you turned them away because of it?

What ended up being the reason you guys parted ways?

And I'm talking perpetual bad breath, not just a here and there thing

Oh, she didn't have perpetual bad breath. Just bad breath on our first date.

I would not date someone who always had bad breath. Never had that come up, though.

Never been in this situation given how I'm very picky.

I'd set a no-kissing rule and a time limit until the issue was rectified.

Bad hygiene is a dealbreaker. I can understand if we're having lunch/dinner and she ends up ordering something garlicly or something, but hell no to perpetual bad breath.

I don't have any experience dating per se but yeah, that's pretty bad. Means being uncomfortable whenever I'm around them.

I think the worst part is many people with bad breath aren't aware of it, and it's difficult to say it to their face. If they learned of it and they take action to change, they could certainly change things around

I asked this person to brush and it somehow made no difference >____<

Well, flossing helps with bad breath more than brushing. Bad breath can stem from multiple things. If it's constant, even after brushing and flossing, it's probably a dead tooth. Assuming they aren't a chain smoker.

It can be just a bad day. It doesn't have to be an hygiene thing, it can also be a temporary digestive problem. With that said, I wouldn't be having that much fun on that first date, and if it persists it's definitely a dealbreaker.

Yea, my guess is any combination of not flossing, not drinking water enough, and not brushing their tongue. Digestive problem is also a consideration
