Arguments for the Prince:

• he comes into battle wielding a katamari, which can withstand oceans, volcanoes, and the sun
• the katamari can pick up anything smaller than it, so if the Prince gets a good clip going he could potentially roll up DK
• the Prince could be as small as a thumbtack until he builds up the katamari, effectively hiding himself from DK

Arguments for DK:

• DK has experience with large, round, rolling objects
• he might just outright step on the Prince
• if DK shoots the Prince, it's gonna hurt

Last topic DK was no match for Yuna's summons, or her magic in general really. Today might be more interesting - an unconventional fight involving DK outlasting an object of rapidly increasing size. Could he punt away the tiny katamari, squish it between his fingers? But if the katamari gets too big, will he be rolled up like so many pandas? What happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable monkey?

Typically, in-game, children start to get rolled up when the katamari gets to be about 1.5m and adults in the 2-2.5 range. DK is about 2.5m to begin with, so it would probably take a katamari about 3.5m large to threaten DK. Bigger if he's resisting in a way other than panicking and running away slowly.

The Prince, in the right environment, can obviously get a katamari this size, but it usually takes a considerable amount of time to do so. A good clip is usually about 3 minutes to double in size, and the katamari usually starts at no more than 25cm, so we're talking about doubling 4 times. I'm reasonably confident DK can track down The Prince -- who has no real defensive capabilities to hold him off in the meanwhile -- for 12 minutes.

Plus, a katamari is usually going to be smaller than a moon until the King turns it into some celestial body, so DK could just wind up and punch it away if he sees it coming.

DK wins long before the Prince gets the katamari to DK's size.

Is the Prince running on a King-imposed time limit? If he is then DK can certainly hold him off until then. If not, I havent seen any evidence that the Prince is capable of being harmed; when he gets hit by cars or other things larger than him he just gets pushed away and some bits fall off of the Katamari. He is a celestial being, after all. He could keep trying over and over until he succeeds or wears DK out.

Depends on time limit and what rollup-able resources are nearby. Prince obviously has much higher potential.

Prince can take a beating, no question. Much larger objects can knock him around, but the only thing that will stop him entirely is the King of All Cosmos. It comes down to whether Donkey Kong can knock the Prince around long enough to where the King drags the Prince back from Earth for punishment.
