I'd speedrun Rebels if I were you.

There's guides online that have the "necessary" episodes, or honestly just see if you can find a lengthy recap.

You watched Mando and Boba so you clearly got a sense for Ahsoka, but given that this series is probably gonna focus on her interactions with the rest of the crew from Rebels, you'll probably want some context

As Doom wrote, you need to catch up on Rebels. That is essential.

A potential spoiler:
One of the key plotlines will be related to the ending of Rebels and the potential emotional payoff will be something you miss out on if going in without know about Rebels.

Thanks, i didnt even know about Rebels, i thought i had to watch The Clone Wars which is intimidating because its a lot of episodes. Rebels look like its still a lot of episodes but i'll give it a try to see if i can get hooked and binge watch it all.

Try to keep at it first. Rebels really starts off like a typical children's "need to sell toys" cartoon until it truly starts exploring the SW universe and building its own plot.

Agreed. To add on to this, I'll reiterate the part about finding a necessary episode guide.

The show isn't terrible with filler, but it'll make your viewing experience more enjoyable

Mando, despite being awesome, has more of a claim to being filler than Ahsoka, a character directly tied to Vader does.

The high points of Rebels are great tho.

I suffered through Rebels for 4 seasons and enjoyed myself maybe...3 times total.

It was on Didney XD when airing so its less violent than even The Clone Wars but its definitely not a little kids show.

Rebels struggles with its own identity at times but by the time season 2 picks up, its hitting its stride. If it had performed better overall I think we could have gotten at least a 5th season and a lot of what happens in the 4th season would have been delayed til then.

As is, it is a fine, fun show. It won't quite ask as in-depth or present as many moral quandaries as TCW, but if you can accept the fact it was essentially slapped and strangleheld with a pure PG rating, you might enjoy it as much as TCW.

You want an even more sanitized SW show, from my understanding? Resistance.

As someone who's only watched a bit of Star Wars (OT, Mando, BoBF), why are there two Siths in this trailer? I thought the whole thing with them was that there were only ever two and that's Vader and Palpatine.

Apparently it's unsure if they're Sith.

Though same as there were Force-users that never became (found by) Jedi, there are certainly Force-users that opt for the dark side.

Palpatine also accounted for all outcomes and if Thrawn was meant to be heir to the Empire, Palpatine may have left force wielders that Thrawn would have.

Also their sabers are orange, not red

To add to what wackyteen said, Palpatine also gathered what Force-sensitives he could find for the Empire. While none of them were declared Sith, there was a group call the Inquisitors. Their role was to continue to root out any other Force-sensitives, either to kill them or to convert them. The Inquisitors appear in Rebels, the Jedi Fallen Order game, and in the Obi-Wan live-action show.

If you mean the OT, what rules were he playing by there exactly? He was Emperor and could do whatever the hell he wanted. The Rule of Two was meant to bend a little bit anyway. Palpatine let Dooku take on Asajj Ventress as an apprentice because she was useful. Once she stopped being useful, he ordered Dooku to eliminate her. I think Plagueis had the same train of thought with Palpatine and Maul, though that might have been from the Plagueis book that's no longer canon.
