Good, like this seems like nothing. But every time someone gets out on the pitch the player lives are really at risk.

I like this reverse angle, where you can see the player reacting to it. He seemed hyped for the proposal and then was like "wtf guys" when the guards tackled him.

It wasn't assault
it was a tackle by security to keep a person who should not have been there in a restrained position

The problem is people cheering on an act of violence. Was it needed? I would say 'yes'. Should it be cheered on by people 'no'

No. A guy crouching is not reason to tackle. The guy might as well claim self defense and shoot the security cause that would be as insane and unnecessary as tackling him.

It's their job to tackle fans who run onto the field. It looked like good form too.

The world would be a better place of the most that cops did was tackle people .

Getting tackled is basically always what happens when unauthorized people get on the field. If you get on the field expect to be tackled.

I have zero issues with cops tackling people to detain them. Beats the 'pull out the gun and put 15 bullets' in them solution they have been using.

I agree that it was overkill for this specific instance, but I still think its warranted. Otherwise, you go down the path of needing to pinpoint specifically what someone must be doing to necessitate certain levels of action.

Best to keep it as a blanket item. You go onto the field, you can get laid out.

Proposing during a sports game is the dumbest thing anyone could ever do.

That was a pretty hard tackle.

Almost like tackling a toddler when the guys down and immobile like that.

You get told, during your boring ass shift standing around doing jack all, that you are in the clear and in fact encouraged as a protected part of your job to tackle the fuck out of a dude on astroturf.

Yesterday was not a good day to pull off a stunt at a large public gathering. Context matters. He may not have known that but I'm sure the security and the cops at Dodger Stadium did.

Normally I would agree if he was an active danger to the players. But he was simply on his knee proposing. Spearing him wasnt necessary. He still deserved to be arrested.

Guaranteed physical pain and prosecution as a deterrent. Its not like random streakers in the outfield pose a threat for the most part either.
