Multiverse movies are basically glorified reference fests at this point, but that's kinda fun in its own way too. Also, I feel like both of these are typically used in stories that aren't really sci-fi focused. Like, the time loop is more often magically based than science, as is the multiversal travel. I can't really think of too many bad examples of these concepts recently. Outer Wilds and Bayonetta 3 are both good times.
