Are you considering 2nd to be the V2 alts or the V4-6 outfit?

Ruby - V7-9

Weiss - V2 Alt

Blake - I kind of like all of them the same except for V1-3 Standard, but leaning towards V4-6. Like the short hair of V7-9 though.

Yang - Love V2 Alt, but gotta go with V4-6.

The only outfit I downright don't like is Weiss V7-9. Well, it's more the hair that I don't like than anything.

Don't know what to expect from V10 other than obviously they're going to be in much more lightweight clothes.

2nd is V4-V6; I didn't know they had alternates.

Yeah it was this set from early in the season. Only wore it for a few episodes.

I like Weiss there, but everyone else improved with the main outfits. Yang is a big WTF.

Well, maybe not Ruby's as much, scarf is looking a bit chunky.

Too much going on. I like color and style symmetry. The V4 "black biker pants" look is sleek to me. That's probably why I prefer Ruby V1 too. Full black and red trim. Later light greens for the shirts bug me.

I think the purple scarf she has at her waist really brings it together, but maybe that's just it being yet another Bumblebee hint all the way back then.

And yeah the V4-6 look is still the best for sure.

Damn, sick figures! I can't get good lighting on mine at the moment, but I have two Hero Academia statues that I got a few years back of Deku and Todoroki during the Sports Festival, and then a bunch of Beastars figures. Actually have the next one coming in soon-ish, a Legosi and Haru dancing from the season 1 opening. And then my other 4 are two of Legosi and two of Louis. Oh and a BNA figure of Shirou and Michiru posing together. Considering the show was design and style over substance, it fits perfectly as a cool figure!

I'm glad I'm swamped with other media right now or I'm certain I would have already just tore through the manga.

I've finally been watching Re:Zero season 2 and am through the first cour. I'm a bit torn honestly. I've always felt the series was crippled by its own premise. In short, Return by Death has so far caused an over-reliance on shock value and created a severe impediment to meaningful character development through the fact that he can't tell anyone about the power. The events so far in season 2 have only reinforced that belief, but at the same time the finale of the arc actually seems like it has a chance of breaking the trend. And I guess either way the series is proving that it's able to continue crafting good experiences in spite of the issues I have with the premise.

To be clear I like the series overall--if I didn't then I never would have watched season 2 in the first place, and season 2 has probably been slightly better than season on average so far. It just sometimes bothers me more than necessary when shows are outstanding in some areas but I perceive them as fatally flawed in others.

The first cour of season 2 was easier to accept on a rewatch when you know ahead of time that the entire season is 1 large arc and prepare yourself for that mentally. It can feel like it's spinning it's gears a lot otherwise. The second cour is an absolute trip, though.

You jest, but there are like 8 of them airing this season, and at least 5 of them fit into the "typical isekai" archetype

FMA:B the #1 MAL anime again.

Took them a month, they're getting weaker.

Wrapped up Rifle is Beautiful. Was pretty middling from beginning to end, and a lot of the comedy fell flat for me, but it had enough cute girl interactions to keep me engaged. The actual competitions were interesting because of the drama presented, but the very nature of beam shooting isn't very exciting.

Finished Re:Zero season 2. Overall not much has changed in my views since the halfway point. Season was pretty good though. It was constantly exciting, and it had some great character moments mixed in with some not-so-great ones. Beatrice was already the best character in season 1 but has now quite firmly separated herself from the rest of the pack. I also quite liked the introduction of Echidna, as well as Roswaal's character arc in this season. Some random comments:

Subaru running around spamming spells while carrying Beatrice like a sack of vegetables (or something) for some reason is peak content

Regulus Corneas is easily the best villain the series has had. Super entertaining every time he's on screen and I'm looking forward to more of him in future seasons.

I appreciate that the series gave some justification for why this loop and the final one of season 1 were so absurd in terms of how circumstances were pitted against the main characters. It felt arbitrary and forced, but it seems a lot more reasonable after it's revealed that the events are plotted by someone who more or less knows about Return by Death

So glad the series OTP of Subaru/Otto was given some time to shine.

I definitely like him, but I'll also say that the characters who are unambiguously villains have also been largely awful, so the competition for "best villain" as I'm defining it here isn't exactly very fierce.

Most people seem to say Echidna's the best villain. The other witches are fairly well-liked too, I think.

Betelgeuse was pretty fun too.

I didn't like Betelgeuse at all.

Echidna is great but is also why I added the "unambiguous" clause there. She's probably a villain in the story but it's not 100% clear and she's had enough of a passive role so far that I'm not willing to commit to giving her that label yet. I definitely liked Echidna more than Regulus though.

The other witches were basically nothing characters* except for Satella who is actively bad for my enjoyment of the series.

*Edit: To clarify, this isn't a criticism of their character--I just mean they haven't done enough in the story yet to leave any real impression at all.
