OLB Sean Spence is on the block for the Panthers. 89 OVR, 34 y/o, would be cap hit of $7.65M for 1 year. Stats can be provided upon interest.

Mainly looking for a cheaper starting quality OLB (low-mid 80s).

Another trade

Ravens receive:
Wildcats 3rd round pick (84th overall)
Wildcats 5th round pick (148th overall)
Wildcats S19 3rd round pick

Wildcats receive:
Ravens 2nd round pick (48th overall)
Ravens S19 7th round pick

The Ravens expressed desire to trade down from the 2nd round to accumulate more picks this draft to help fill their roster holes on a budget. They also receive a Day 2 pick next season.

The Wildcats gave up two Day 2 picks in the next two drafts (plus an early Day 3 for a future late Day 3) to add another late Day 1 pick as they continue bolstering their draft haul for this season under new management to add youthful talent.

Both parties understood the trade parameters and what each party hoped to achieve.

AI trade!

Buccaneers receive:
DE Mitch Freeman (89 overall, 27 years old)
DT Kenny Clark (81, 25)
LG Glenn Castle (88, 30)

Steelers receive:
RG Arie Kouandjio (83, 30)
HB Knile Davis (83, 29)
FS Trent Ford (80, 33)

Bucs will incur a $5.02 mil cap penalty to turn $8.06 mil in cap hits into $19.54 mil in cap hits

Steelers will incur a $3.86 mil cap penalty to turn $23.4 mil in cap hits into $5.85 mil in cap hits

The Bucs have outperformed their talent level the past two seasons and send out three modestly-rated starters out to get back more talented and younger players. Kouandjio is the real loss putting up a stellar 118 blocks vs 13 sacks allowed the past two seasons as an interior OL. Davis has four years left on his contract and would demand a trade as soon as he loses the preseason battle against recent #2 overall pick Alvin Kamara. Ford is likely in the final season of his career and was likely to be sent to the bench after the Bucs signed FS Colbert in RFA. Freeman and Clark give them much-needed talent and youth along an aging DL, although Freeman is a converted LB and has yet to deliver a quality season at DE. Castle is coming off of a rough season with 38 blocks against 10 sacks allowed, but he recorded 93 blocks against 11 sacks allowed the previous two seasons.

The Steelers' main draw was massive cap relief as they shared publicly that they would likely be unable to sign the UFAs that they wanted, not to mention signing a draft class and anybody from free agency. They did get some nice players in return though. Kouandjio's stats have been mentioned. Davis was a breakout candidate last season after recording over 1500 rushing yards on 4.3 YPC. Barring an injury to McCaffrey, Davis will not be back for a second season for the Steelers, but for $1.5 mil, you aren't going to find a better backup HB. Ford's last two seasons on a roster (S15 with Orcas, S17 with Bucs) saw him record a combined 128 tackles, 1 INT, 2 FFs, 3 FRs in 32 games, so he's an excellent choice for a backup.

The Steelers understood the trade parameters, the history of players involved, the financial impact, and what each team hoped to achieve.

This trade is now official

Live NFL Draft

This is a 7-round affair where teams select college players. There are 32 picks in each round for a total of 224 selections overall. We break this down into three real-life days. Rounds 1 and 2 are on the first day, rounds 3 and 4 are on the second day, and rounds 5 through 7 are the final day. The draft takes place in the spreadsheet as that is where all the info is, and I totally failed in my lone attempt to do a draft in both the spreadsheet and Discord.

In one of the posts below, I will include the draft order again as well as updated draft pick ownerships. I only include ownership of other teams' picks. If you wish to attend the draft at all, I require that you own a Google account and either PM/DM me or post here the email associated with it so that I can include you as having permission in the spreadsheet and you can sign in and enter the chat function which is located near the top right of the spreadsheet. Most of you have done so in previous years, but there could be a few people wanting to attend this year but have yet to receive permission. You must be on a desktop/laptop to access the chat function.

NFL Draft Rules

1. When it is your time to pick, type your selection in the spreadsheet

2. There is a 5 minute pick limit, which starts when I say something along the lines of "X team is on the clock"

3. If no pick has been made after 5 minutes, I will select the player for you

4. If a user is not present at the time they are on the clock, they will be auto-drafted via rule #3 until they notify me of their return

If I can't or don't want to be here for the draft, what are my options?

Queue - You give me a list of players in order of priority. It can be as few as one and as many as the 250+ prospects that will eventually be in that sheet.

Draft Strategy - You give me a vague or specific set of instructions on how to draft your players. An example of this would be:
Draft best available CB in 1st round
Draft best available player in 2nd-4th rounds
Draft best available player for a position of need in 5th-7th rounds.

Conditionals - You give me a list of conditionals. Unlike the other two examples, this one is best used if you only think that you will be unavailable for a single round. Using the totally real C Butchinald Jorgensen as an example:
1. Draft C Butchinald Jorgensen
2. Draft the best available OT with a 1st round grade
3. Draft the best available player for a position of need

Even if you plan to attend the draft on any or all days, it would really help me out if you send me something from the above list.

I cannot stress enough just how important this is to me. Even if you plan to attend the draft on some or all days, there is only one person guaranteed to be present for the draft, and that's me because otherwise there is no draft. So the draft runs as smoothly as it possibly, I create a spreadsheet where I craft detailed draft plans for all user teams in case I have to draft for them. If I am given a strategy/queue/conditional (especially one that encompasses the entire draft) from a team, then I do not have to waste my time and effort for said team. Please do this as having to come up with draft plans for 20+ user teams would possibly take me 10+ hours to do.

Steelers have the 10 pick. If anyone wants to move back, I'll give up whatever future picks KCF thinks is fair (he said a future 2nd is probably fair for 10 to 5 as a reference point)

Alternatively if anyone wants to trade out their 1st for future picks I'd be interested in doing that too.

Trade

Panthers receive:
Patriots 3rd round pick (67th overall)

Patriots receive:
C Josh Sitton (90 overall, 32 years old)

The Panthers will incur a $1.33 mil cap penalty to wipe out a $6.62 mil cap hit

The Patriots will assume a $5.29 mil cap hit

The Panthers are deep in the negative cap space. While Sitton was arguably their second-best OL, the Panthers re-signed David Andrews who performed great for them to a much lower cap hit, so they felt comfortable departing with Sitton to help their financial situation. They get back a Top 100 pick after parting with several during the previous season.

The Patriots have plenty of cap space and on a stacked OL, they had a hole at LG. Sitton does have an inconsistent history, but he has played his best football the past three seasons to the tune of 181 blocks against 10 sacks allowed. While Sitton has only played C, if he's even half as efficient at G, he would still be an elite interior OL.

The Pats and Panthers understood the trade parameters, financial impact, Sitton's history, and presumably what both teams hoped to achieve. This trade is now official.

Trade

Jaguars receive:
Steelers S18 4th round pick (106th overall)
Steelers S19 1st round pick
Steelers S19 2nd round pick
Steelers S19 3rd round pick

Steelers receive:
Jaguars S18 1st round pick (9th overall)
Jaguars S19 7th round pick

The Jags have a decent amount of cap space and would like to target some players in free agency as well as have this season be an evaluation period for players that they have plenty of draft picks at their disposal in case they want to go in another direction.

The Steelers have very specific draft plans and are willing to give away three Top 100 picks plus another just outside of it to adhere to it.

Both teams demonstrated that they understood the trade parameters and what each team hoped to achieve. This trade is official.

Eagles trade #1

Broncos receive:
DT Danny Shelton (80 overall, 25 years old)

Eagles receive:
LT Le'Raven Clark (81, 24)

Broncos will trade out a $1.26 mil cap hit to assume a $5.09 mil cap hit

Eagles will incur a $1.05 mil cap hit to turn a $6.14 mil cap hit into a $1.26 mil cap hit

The Broncos needed a potential starting DT, and the Eagles needed a potential start OT and cap relief. The Broncos already have two 90+ OTs, and the Eagles already have a young starting DT in a 3-4. Everybody got something that they needed while dealing away someone that wasn't critical to their team.

Eagles understood the trade parameters, financial impact, player histories, and what each team hoped to achieve. This trade is now official.

Eagles trade #2

Eagles receive:
DE Quinton Coples (84 overall, 27 years old)
Wildcats S19 2nd round pick
Giants S19 2nd round pick

Wildcats receive:
Orcas 1st round pick (32nd overall)
Eagles 3rd round pick (88th overall)
Eagles S19 5th round pick
Eagles S19 6th round pick

Eagles assume a $3.63 mil cap hit

Wildcats incur a $2 mil cap penalty to wipe out a $4.63 mil cap hit

The Eagles who were slated to enter the draft with less than $15 mil with five roster holes and eight draft picks, including six on Days 1 and 2, increase their cap space while cutting roster holes and draft picks with these two trades. They also bring in multiple starting-caliber players, giving them a lot more flexibility during the draft. They also add two Day 1 picks in the next draft.

The Wildcats, taking a page from their GM's playbook with the Orcas, have decided to get their young talent in this draft and punt the next one for financial reasons, so they trade two Top 100 picks to get two this season (and a pair of Day 3 picks next season), and ship out a decent but not critical starter for them that may open up additional free agency opportunities as they hope end the league's second-longest playoff drought (haven't made it since S6), sooner rather than later.

Both teams understood the trade parameters, financial impact, Coples' history, and what each team hoped to achieve. This trade is now official.
