How come sometimes the game doesnt let me retreat on Turn 6?

If you snap turn 5 after both players have locked in you can't retreat turn 6 unless your opponent snaps.

It's a bit annoying. Basically the mechanics are such that

1. If you snap, you can't retreat unless your opponent snaps.
2. If you snap after both players have locked in on a turn (just before or during card flips), it counts as a snap on the next turn.

In a vacuum these both make sense but it's an unfortunate interaction.

Sentry seems fun. That -8 could be eaten, or used as nasty surprise with Viper

Sentry is one of my top series 4 wants due to the Viper interaction

Moon Girl Kang seems very very silly

on top of getting to Kang twice, even if your hand is full after playing Moon Girl and you cant draw next turn, if you play Kang that turn your hand will be one card smaller on the reset so youll still get a card anyway.

Edit: also I found out an interesting bug(?), which is that Absorbing Man doesnt seem to copy an effect if they were doubled Wong or Kamar-Taj?

Thats supposed to have changed with the last patch so that it does happen now

Do you mean that Absorbing Man doesn't perform the copied action twice when he's played on Wong or Kamar-Taj, or do you mean that Absorbing Man doesn't perform the action twice when the card he's copying is at Wong or Kamar-Taj? If the former, that was supposed to have been fixed in the last patch, so you may want to report that as a bug if that's what happened. If you mean the latter, why would it? He just copies the ability that's on the card, and the card doesn't say anything about being performed twice. If you mean that Absorbing Man doesn't copy two effects when he's at those locations, that's intentional, same as with Mystique or Rogue. The original On Reveal effect they have gets erased by the new ability they copy.

I had the same issue like an hour ago when trying to post a screenshot. Said it couldn't be more than 4mb, it was 3.2mb and still didn't upload. Was just a screenshot and I hadn't had issues with screenshots previously

Dude had the perfect shuri red skull hand on a board with TWO sinister londons, and I even snapped early, but the guy was too fucking scared so he only got two cubes when he could've had 8. The guy did fuck up and not play the Shuri to one of the londons, but they didn't even need it anyway.

It could be a case of forgetting to snap, I legit forget all the time unless they are trying to bluff me on 5 or 6 and I'm like, shit there is no way I can lose this and snap back.

Oh also reminder that the way the game currently works, the contents of any collector's reserves you open are determined when you open it, not when you earn it. So if you want a better chance at getting some of those random special variants for next season, hold off on opening any more collector's reserves, wait until those variants get added. If you're newer to the game, it's worth knowing that unlike typical randomly-earned variants, these limited time variants from events can be won even if you don't own the base card! You do have to be collector level 1000 to start getting reserves though.

If you get a variant without owning the card is it unlocked for you to use?

Yes, and you can even earn other variants for it at that point. The base card will still get unlocked at some point from progressing your CL.

it'll be the most telegraphed play in the game so not too hard unless you let them get priority

I don't think we know exactly how Kitty works but I assume that yeah, you can move her back into your hand at the start of a turn. You probably can't play it again on that same turn though

wait how does priority work? I thought it just alternated but I admittedly have not paid attention

first turn (and when you are tied) is random, otherwise it's whoever is winning at the start of the turn

Priority is insanely important too, if you're new to the game you should learn it asap. It's like position in poker where it seems small but it has huge effects.

Sucks Storm and Infinaut are still to go, could definitely use those.

I only recently learned that Weirdworld is amazing for The Collector. The opponents deck isnt your deck, so every draw gives him a boost

Foolmo strat of just immediately snapping when you see weirdworld works more often than not.

Lately I just leave whenever someone snaps towards the end. Sometimes Ill even leave at the beginning though. I think the thing I hate most is when you fist bump emote and someone gives you the Ms Marvel emote back.

Storm is the ultimate setup for Mantis/Rocket/Drax/Juggernaut type cards where you have to predict where your opponent plays next.

Weird card, especially for 6000 tokens.

I've played Shanna a few times off of her being randomly generated and I have to say she is very underwhelming

Refreshed missions combined with getting the 20/25 weeklies plus some season pass stuff meant I was able to go from 4 cards to complete pool 2 to snagging my first pool 3 card (Wave who seems good if you have the right deck / blocks people's turn 6 combos?). Although I deranked like 5 times trying to snag a lot of unupgraded cards because I was playing with complete junk and people kept snapping. If you play friendly mode do you still get boosters/season pass exp but no deranking?

I think I get 1 more pool 3 card before it just goes to random crapshoot caches right? What's the pity system on those? I saw places say there is one but didn't list details

Yeah that's the problem with every new card going into series 5. Devs said the next few patches are going to improve card acquisition somehow because they've acknowledged that there's basically 0 hype around new cards since they're impossible to get for most players until they drop to series 3 or 4.

I'm really getting sick of every deck being Shuri or Thanos Lockjaw. It feels like you can't even play anything else because you just lose to those decks.

I legitimately have only seen Lockjaw Thanos one time (and they got bodied), and have never seen Shuri..
