It's like yeah some dude can hack a Cisco Firewall doesn't mean he can instantly hack someone's windows PC. He could eventually no doubt but even a master hacker would have some development time to completely foreign hardware

Honestly I think V's getting overhyped. A lot of the arguments against "lolhackbotted" have some level of validity.

I think Lopen was more on point about "can Zeratul get a clear hit on Raiden" and I think the answer's yes

V can hack him just as well as he can hack people who are much more human and have just a commlink. There's no significant diff there. Given how Raiden's body is so cybernetic, it would probably be completely doable to just make his limbs do whatever even if his mind resists it.

Oh I agree. But I don't think Raiden is impossible to react to for Mega Man, which is my sticking point. Like I don't see Mega winning if Raiden gets in close combat - nah he's sliced and diced. But I can see him pulling out the Flash Stopper in time to not get torn to shreds and let his friends actually do the damage. I see Mega as the enabler, rather than the actual force that wins here; I think if he's solo, he stalls Raiden for a good minute between all the freezes (math-wise he gets 7 charges of Flash Stopper before it goes out, and one continuous one of Centaur Flash), but stalling and maybe a shot or two is about all he's got in him.

But Zeratul? He has a fun energy knife that cuts people real good. And I'm very used to Raiden getting cut up to ridiculous degrees.

Okay so as of now my vote stands

I think if v had an actual bulky person in front of them to preoccupy Raiden she does a lot of work here. It's a bad match up. But I don't think she can ping in this setting and once Raiden in ripper mode comes that's bad news bears

I think zeratul might get one hit off, but I don't think one hit is going to be enough to finish off a bloodlusted Raiden here and he barely wins before falling over himself.

This battle is over in less than 15 seconds real time once they meet imo

Raiden isnt theyre gonna need to get a ping at best and even then Im just not convinced

The Pegasus stop allowing Zeratul a free shot is more intriguing to me

ngl if I bought Leon I was going to argue a leg for any merc except like, Samus

Honestly, given Raiden can fight with his sword in his mouth if he needs to, he might favor his legs more since he needs them to walk.

yeah, like Raiden specifically has a lot of feats while missing an arm. walking, though - walking is good

Raiden is at 50% HP, is already dying, and has lost a limb? Cyborg or not, I don't think anyone can overcome that against six other Mercs who hardly have any similar restrictions, especially against both V and Mega Man. Sure, Raiden might be able to take three of them, but he's already worn down and I don't see any way for him to win. Especially the 2-on-1 since Mega Man and Luigi will fight him in tandem.

I lean towards the latter. It's meant to make sure that if someone is say, a dance battle who fights mostly with their legs (Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia, for example) they still lose something of value. Up to interp tho.

Does Mercs V have the time slow implant? I forget what category that's classified under.

Yes, it can. Raiden uses hands to do his signature technique of Blade Mode, though, so I'd lean more that way personally.

The answer will be inescapable: in point of fact, yes, yes it does. They will feel no pain from losing their limb, but will have to make do for the week's battle without it. My few thoughts on this fight so far. One. Emp and lightning are useless at best, and violently detrimental at worst to use against Raiden. He uses EMP grenades himself, so emp won't work on him, and he's heavily powered by electricity and generates it himself. I can't see the full hacking power of V shattering through Raiden, especially to just cause auto knockout.

Two, Raiden lost an arm, specifically his left arm, first body made that arm important before the second body.

Three, Raiden has at least one heal on the field, and potentially two, depending on how robotic V is. Definately Mega man, and maybe V have the potential of having their spine torn out for juice.

But on the other hand, I will say that raiden can have his ranged options severely curtailed with V detonating grenades on toss and the like. I'm not going to vote right now, but just some thoughts.

I would go with hands unless their fighting style was leg oriented (chunners) or it was specific like a dance off

as a major V liker, I would actually buy Raiden healing up if he kills V specifically

Rock idk, he's pure circuitry, but V is a cyborg and zandatsu is plausible there -- if V can hack Raiden, Raiden can hack him and heal off his spine

I still think V wins hard but like, valid IMO

I'm pretty sure that Leon, Luigi, and probably Kiryu (luv ya buddy) get slice n diced by Raiden, but Megaman, Zeratul, and V can fight him 3v1. I don't even need to buy 'V solos via hacking' to think that either. Megaman's got legitimate ways to temporarily blind/disable Raiden (even in Ripper mode) and V is very good at fighting ninja cyborgs- he does it for a living. Even if Raiden can't be fully hacked V's skills will have some effect. And then you have Zeratul- this guy hits like a truck if he can get a sneak attack in, and while Raiden is blindly stumbling around because of Megaman seems like a really good time to do that.

I think it could go either way if Raiden wasn't starting at half HP, (I dont think the battle lasts long enough for him to die of the dot damage) but the HP lead is pretty damn relevant here. Can he heal off of V if he rips his spine out? Ehhhh. Maybe. Would have to able to get to it first though.

yeah probably! but that would require him killing a full-powered V while he's already outnumbered and weakened and slowly dying and I don't think that's happening
