Man it's good. Just don't load it up with corn flakes or something. Not all meatloaf has to be trailer trashed up.

I love it, topped with either tomato sauce or bbq in some cases. Wife makes a killer meatloaf, the cats beg for bites.

I use rolled oats and a really good barbecue sauce from Illinois

Yeah, sometimes I'll make a tomato based sweet and sour sauce. Easy meal. Some people fuck up when they add too much filler and it comes out mealy tasting.

It's without a doubt the most mid way to cook meat ever conceived. I'll never go out of my way to eat it, and if for some reason it's my only option, I don't hate it, but I eat it with about as much enthusiasm as fueling my car

Making one tonight with greek yogurt and cream of mushroom soup sauce. Sounds shitty but tastes like stroganoff. Might cook up some egg noodles to put it on

The first time I made a meatloaf in the smoker I saw God. God is smoked meatloaf.

It's fine. Great way of making lots of meals with meal prep. Relies heavily on the sauce imo

Love meatloaf. Remember one time I made meatloaf in a cupcake pan and did mashed potatoes in a piping bag to make it like frosting. Came out super good

I think it's because the traditional Midwest meatloaf everyone thinks of is garbage unflavored ground beef with gross ketchup on top. Once you move beyond 90s ingredients it's fantastic and great for sandwiches. The recipe I usually make is an Italian sausage/ground beef mix with roasted onions and peppers mixed in, and the topping is a tomato paste/garlic/Worcestershire sauce mix I "ice" the whole thing with in the last bit of cooking so the actual meatloaf is able to develop a decent crust before I add the sauce.

If someone is serving meatloaf I'm not eating much of it regardless of how it's made.

I always interpreted the joke as "women keep making the same dish over and over again, and meatloaf is relatively easy to make as far as meals go, and pretty popular, so the joke is that our wives keep making meat loaf".

I think most people like meat loaf.

I think it's because most people are introduced to and ever ate meatloaf in grade school cafeterias. It's simple, cheap food that can be made bad relatively easily.

Meatloaf is the only good sweet meat.

You should try it with a heart of gold. When you're making it make a trench in the center and fill it with your favorite cheese.

Because theyve never tried mine.
