Man, it seems like *a lot* of substories are just "find person, give them item/do side activity, unlock their friendship bar, end substory", rinse and repeat.

There's been a bunch of fun substories so far but otherwise it does feel kinda lacking when a good chunk of them are just friendship bullshit >_>

Wasnt 0 like that too? Get a substitute, talk, substory ends and you have a friendship bar. I noticed 0 took a lot of stuff from Ishin.

I haven't seen a rate of fire seal yet, I just crafted a gun that had it already. I'd assume Greater Rate of Fire is the one, though. I think it was the Winter Winds gun in the video.

Wasn't that Judgment. I am in this weird place where Lost Judgment played better but in Judgment I felt more like a detective. So I think the story is better in Judgment.

Back to the topic at hand a lot of friendships in Judgment was like just visit the store here's some crap yay. But the dating was better in Judgment even though Lost Judgment made you pay for romance options and it was worse. It's happening again too much thinking.

Thanks, Ill have to check it out. Im just now figuring out you can do the strong attack on the gun without expending special ammo, its so much better.

Also the diligence record was going so well until this Travel 150 kilometer or whatever. Its so slow.

I just checked the upgrade path and it says "Exclusive Seal: Flash Fire". There's one path of upgrades where each gun has it starting with "Cloudy Skies". And dude the grind is for real in this one. From what I'm seeing so far, crafting is the worst of it just for the sheer number of money and materials needed.

I'm doing fishin' in Ishin.

I'm in Chapter 4 and out of the 26 substories I've encountered so far, 12 of them were just friendship activations >_> I only completed the one where I give this cat some money and he gives me stuff like medicine and porn

I tried it on the 17th and after going half an hour without the game even starting, I went back to playing pokemon for a bit

The beginning is a little slow but once you get to chapter 2 and 3, it opens up a lot

I unlocked troopers finally and wow this system seems pretty big. There's 400 unique troopers, and you can fuse troopers, give them items to upgrade them, promote them with jewels, they have morales you gotta maintain, there's different level caps for each class. I just wanna get the kamehameha one and start blasting >_>

Nah you're right, there's a ton more friendships in Ishin. I did at least notice that for some of the slower progressing ones, generally by the 60% mark you get some task to do which fills up the rest of the bar so it's not so bad.

I hope so. Doing a ton of friendship grinds isn't fun >_> It was one of my least favorite things about Yakuza 0

You get all the trooper stuff in chapter 5 I'm like 15 hours in right now? But I'm also taking my sweet time with everything lol

When I got to Gion and immediately saw there was a brothel there, I was like "Fuck Mine; he can wait! I'm gonna get laid!" and spent like 2 ryo trying to bang this prostitute <_< What a great game lol

For the most part, no. Like the Diligence Records is pretty generic like Fish X fish or eat X foods, whereas the Completion List is "Catch every type of fish" or "Eat everything at all the restaurants", like usual. I did this with Yakuza LAD too, I spent so much time doing the hero thing and then just gave up lol.

Also it seems like I just stumbled upon a letter? I have no idea why it trigger just now but it's my first one.

The Diligence Records are do numbers of thing (walk, talk, fight, fish, etc.)

The Completion List is do specific things (win at singing, get all fish, do all Heat Actions)

I just read about this in the old completion guide and it looks like you need to earn money through Another Life before you're called on to pay the debt back. I'm at Chapter 7 too and have paid back two installments, but they were like back to back and quite a while ago. I was assuming it was story-locked but maybe it's because I haven't earned enough.

Ah okay. I barely touched the trading in it yet >_> I managed to get a dog and a cat though

I will say people are having some fun with the issue of stuff changing from the original version to Kiwami and I'm still like not even close to all that yet. >_>

They say you have to pay back 100 Ryo in 5 20 Ryo installments, so I'm assuming you need to make 20 Ryo through the orders before this triggers?
