Also the patch is making Equipment drop more frequently in Battle Dungeons. I got three Nihongo spears in a single run, each of which sold for more than 30 ryo.

I mean the grind for upgrading the Blacksmith was a little ridiculous.

Don't know what's wrong with Poker Omaha Hold em, but it seems to think a Straight is a better hand than a Full House.

At 87% on completion, the majority being Equipment, of course.

So when's the guide, Cyric? ( I kid). I watched a European streamer play it for about half an hour with no context. The big point was a man in a mask. And this guy he fough wasn't. I might play it someday but I dunno. I guess I just wanted the new like a Dragon rpg over this weird side story.

Sure it's fun though.

How's the wild gunman style. I watched a review where someone seemed like you could just use a sword or shoot endless bullets. I know my Yakuza style was often just maxing out combo speed as fast as possible but even I knew you could mix the two.

You might be conflating two styles there. There are four in the game. Brawler (fists). Swordsman (just the sword). Gunman (just the gun). Wild Dancer (sword and gun).

So ask your question again.

I usually went either sword only or gun only

Wild Dancer is probably the most evasive style in the series. You can dodge almost anything, and once you get enough Abilities into it you're pouring on attacks super quick that don't do a lot of damage on their own, but add up pretty quickly.

My only gripe with it is that it doesn't have cool counter moves.

I already beat him weeks ago lol. Amon in this game is way too easy. It's like they didn't account for the trooper stuff

Well you couldn't fight him with troopers in the original.

That said, I didn't even use those that much.

IIRC Using Ichiban and Crimson Cuts just melted like 33% of his health instantly >_>

Oh I had Shinada equipped and it automatically triggered Time is Fleeting, and Amon actually SPED UP.

That was scary.

Spent the evening putting together normal maps for normal places.

Feel I should have worked on the Memoirs maps instead but oh well. Plenty of time to do those another day.

Legendary Troopers just started popping out of nowhere when I got to Chapter 11.

I don't mean to brag or anything but I just feel so happy by all the positive feedback I get for my guides. It's so meaningful and helps me keep going. ;_;

I did Amon on hard. He hit pretty hard even with what seemed like the best available armor. I also had the Oni-maru Sword and I think the best gun in the Iron Grinder tree.

I suppose I wouldn't have done it without the Hungry Sumo trooper and Doc Emoto.

Oh what the fuck. You're supposed to throw that guy out of the arena for Combat Challenge #3? That's really dumb.

Of course an Ultimate challenge Saigo fight is 3 times as hard as Amon.
