If you have an actor who seems to be a bad fit, the overwhelming majority of the time they are. If you have superhero properties that the audience isn't familiar with, chances are they won't be marketable on their own. You can't just throw unknowns at the audience and expect them to be as bankable as characters that people grew up with or at least have some familiarity with.
