They use reviews to validate their own opinions, invalidate those of others, or disregard them entirely when the reviews don't favor their personal opinions. I stopped bothering with reviews entirely. I form my own opinion from the trailers and make a decision on whether I want to see it in theaters or wait for it to come out on streaming. It works out the vast majority of the time, with a few exceptions.
