Plum or Kirby, when did Kirby say this? If Kirby is on the record D2 saying that he has reason to believe that he doesn't have secret power nonsense before Sultan flipped then I think that's pretty powerful.

I don't think that's as relevant as you're trying to make it. Yes, Kirby was against Ben's claim and theory about hidden activatable roles before Sultan flipped. But they were just against Ben in general. If Kirby had ever breadcrumbed that they had a personal reason related to their role for that, then you might have something, but they pretty much just focused on how weak and useless Ben's proposed scan was.

I don't think it is nearly the smoking gun you are thinking it is. If Kirby is scum there easily could be a scum role that disproves it and Kirby used that statement to craft a fake claim.

I definitely said that when Sultan was alive. I'm 90% sure I said exactly that in response to people taking Ben's idea of a role activating the Star Spirits seriously.

This is true but jc's point is still fundamentally strong

Kirby hinting that before Sultan died is his best case yes.

I was thinking about this but if we're not worried about scum Kirby lying about Dumey being BP then I'm less concerned about resolving them immediately.

If Kirby isn't being lynched though, Dumey should claim. Being told you're going to die tonight by someone who isn't getting lynched should certainly be enough to make someone claim.

I am leaning kirby but I'm not sure yet. Had a busy evening and I'm just now catching up.

I don't like the Luigi claim, I don't like how he tried to convince everyone the hammer meant dumey was scum, and I don't like how eager he was to claim it.

The entire Dumey fiasco felt like "If I mislynch him great, I can just stroll in the next day and go "lol guess I was wrong guys"

Again, not denying the possibility, but like, it is a fluke that seriously worked out in Kirby's favor if he's scum. Preparing a 'I get powers' fake claim and then conveniently getting a flip that allows him to change to backup hero would be just dumb luck.

I'm more inclined to believe Kirby is telling the truth than Kirby just got lucky.

I mean, it was 20 minutes left until EoD, and I was at 3 votes vs. Sultan's 4 votes. I'd be an idiot to not at least claim if I was in danger of being lynched. Even Sultan asked if he should claim before he had to leave before EoD.

See that never made sense to me about Kirby's claim either. Why would being backup be a reason to believe star spirits don't have hidden powers?

It was only ever a theory of mine in the first place, but if you're Luigi then if anything that should tell you Mario DOES exist and is important to the game. There is no reason for him to say my theory is wrong unless he was planning on claiming something else

This is where I'm at. Which isn't the best place tbh.

Based on play I want to lynch Kirby the most, second is either Ulti or Dumey.

Based on setup I want to lynch Ben the most, second is probably Ulti.

Red is a blind shot. I honestly have no read of him.

Han and i were both entertaining Ulti earlier, ctes

I've been doing a lot of thinking about Dumey.

If Han and ctes are actually town, does scum really just go 'oh let's just let this slide, it's no worries'?

Either they have a powerful role that might specifically counter whatever thing ctes and han are concocting so they don't give a shit (let's be real, town has Mario and Koopa Troops were ridic, scum probably has some busted stuff), or Dumey looks a lot worse for being the other person aggressively pointing out the wifom in the situation along with me.

I think Ulti is town. But it's really mostly off vibes.

I know you don't mean it this way, but that's an awfully reductive way of looking at how I've presented my thoughts recently!

In my poe's, I earlier said that Hb fit both, but also I don't like how SBell referred to him, so it made me think better of him. For Dumey, I'm inclined to think he's not Scum with Kirby, and I'm way more insistent on Kirby atm. Also, reviewing D1, I just think Dumey looks better than others. And I don't think that Kirby's "failed hammer" says anything conclusive. If Dumey flipped Town, I could give a reason why Kirby didn't work. He could flip Scum, but like, eh? I just didn't feel as strong about Dumey being Scum after my 2/3 reread of Day 1.

Who are the Scum who are happy to let us get away with claiming?

Two thoughts in response to this:

1. They're not. Kirby and Hb both tried to get us to claim recently. They just don't want to seem desperate to do so.
2. Scum think they know what's up, which is fine by me because there's no chance they do, so it would be to our benefit.

As for Red, I have POE's without him in it. But I can't deny that he's done shit all game.

As for Ben, let's keep in mind - him scanning Redis fucking stupid. Why? Because he said "Red is not a Star Spirit." Why? Why scan someone and reveal that they can't fakeclaim a Star Spirit? Why not test Ulti? Why reveal at all? It's just so... dumb.

For Ben to be Town this game means that things are fucking dumb.

I liked Ulti's attack on me earlier this game. Got strong town vibes from him then
