I'll be honest, I was feeling better about you this morning JC, but I felt like the pressure and activity was necessary given the somewhat apathetic nature of this game.

As for now, I believe you are Town. I think your reactions yesterday were much too genuine. If you think claiming your power and actions are unhelpful to Town, then I will believe you.

Not on it's own, but in totality of all of his posts. I was stating multiple different things that you might take of use. So saying, "these posts are bad because we already talked about it" doesn't track. There's still info that could be gained from them! Not saying that him coming to the same conclusion as you is some silver bullet great argument, just that it's silly to disregard it as useless.

You were very ready to toss out Ulti's posts unless he confirmed he caught up the game. So why is it a problem when I'm doing the same?
(Though I fully admit to taking that post out of context as I just Ctrl + F'd for "EDumey" to see any interactions Ulti has had with you, which showed me surprisingly little!)

Is this the second or third time now you've done this? That is CLEARLY not the context I was going for. Ulti VOTED me saying I was scum for leading a lynch on Isquen, and I was responding to him saying I couldn't defend myself if he hadn't caught up with the game, and was inviting him to give more context as to why he thought I was scummy. The "safely disregard" bit is a little bit of ad hominem saying I don't care about his opinion if that was the case.

If Ben doesn't claim anything else kill him. If he does then... well I was going to analyze how to tell if he is lying or not but I don't want to feed him lines.

I am Twink, Star Spirit Seeker

Each night I scan for one of the Star Spirits and am told whether or not my target is a Star Spirit. At first I thought this was like a weak scanner, that either hits and finds town or misses. So I treated it like a cop and was between Ulti and JC. I picked JC, and

JC is not a Star Spirit

Now the only reason I wanted JC to claim first was because I doubt ALL 7 of the star spirits are in the game, meaning scum could have some on their safe list and there's always a chance, no matter how small, that I can catch someone lying with that information. I have another theory about the use of my role that I only realized when Cody said maybe Eldstar could have had his powers unlocked. Though I'd bet its another role, Mario, that I am supposed to be helping find the star spirits. This was why I said I'd be okay with a mass claim, lol

I don't really know how to evaluate that claim, but at the very least it does explain why Ben wanted to claim after JC.

I would have advocated for a same-time claim like Death said, but either or I guess.

It fits Ben's comments about Isquen's flip early in the day too.

I am still wondering about the balance myself. But lets just say, Cody's post immediately made me think it would be cool if there is a Mario role that has to visit (collect) the Star Spirits to activate them or acquire their powers. My own flavor supports this theory and makes mention of this quest.

This would at the very least condemn Cody to die today, if we're assuming that doctor is the way that burn/poison is resolved.

Secondly, what do we lose by lynching Ben if he IS Town? It's not like "find Star Spirits" is a particularly strong Town role. I mean, hell, instead of using the role, just say "Hey all Star Spirits, claim which of you are Star Spirits because you have to be found by another Town role".

The star spirits would tell us themselves if such a role existed.

this is actually a good point, especially given that we're expected to believe that town has a flavor scanner based on sbell's flip.

town flavor scanner can pretty clearly tell whether or not someone's a star spirit so ben's role is... redundant in that case?

It's a weak flavor scanner in a game where Sbell's flip heavily implies an actual flavor scanner.

I will say I don't believe Isquen could have had any powers unlocked.

SBell's flip heavily indicates a scanner (doesn't guarantee of course, but yeah) that would make a star spirit finder incredibly redundant. Like, would there be any benefit to Ben finding them? It seems very niche that only might catch scum in some fake claim (but never after claiming).
