I agree that all of those are better. Probably throw in both Eagles/Patriots games as well. That said, those two I wouldn't include if it had a more spectacular ending. Probably not Panthers/Patriots either.

Eh, I don't think the first Eagles/Patriots Super Bowl was that memorable other than the incredible performance by Terrell Owens. It never felt like New England was actually going to lose that game despite it being close. Eagles/Patriots II was definitely the better one of the two.

Any close game that ends with a penalty called at the end feels bad. Deserved or not. It's a sad reality.

The game managed to feel like defenses played well in addition to both offenses. Chiefs really pulled it out in the second half, and despite the Eagles not doing more, they still had some real good plays.

This was undeniably better than Pats/Falcons. That was a shit game where one team came out blazing, then completely disappeared into the aether while the other team caught up. It never felt competitive.

I'm biased, but I'd put all the Giants super bowl wins in my lifetime in the best ones. Both wins over the Patriots and the one over the Bills.

After that it's really difficult. Titans/Rams is probably up there though.

I'm a little too young to remember Giants/Bills, but based on what I've seen and heard, it'd probably be up there. First Super Bowls I remember are the two Cowboys/Bills ones.

Broncos/Packers is probably in the discussion, too.

I remember when they beat the Pats someone on here linked to the police scanner feed and it was absolutely nutty. The VERY first thing I heard when I clicked it was something to the effect of "I'm at (insert intersection). All the traffic lights are on the ground."

Legit had on the news that a car was turned over after the game so you're probably right but that's at least more unpredictable.

Hopefully we get a defense that matches our offense next year-Hurts was amazing with most everything besides the awful fumble and hail mary

People value longevity too much though, so he might not be first ballot at this point.

Agreed. That was just two one sided blowouts one following the other with baffeling play calling by Kyle Shanahan.

Of all the Super Bowls I've watched, that one sticks out as my least favorite, and I regret watching it at all. I have no idea why anyone would've thought yesterday's game was worse than something that bad. It was very enjoyable until that stupid penalty, and I'll take "90% enjoyable even if that 10% is the ending" over "thoroughly unfun with a horrible ending" any day.

But yeah, I agree with SEP that they shouldn't have called it since they hadn't been calling little stuff like that all game. Be consistent. If it was the first quarter, would they have called that? Probably not, seeing as... they didn't. If this was a regular season game, would they have called that? Probably not given the tone they'd set earlier.

The great Chad Henne, mentor to Patrick Mahomes and 2x SB winning QB has rode off into the sunset.

Here's the thing. At this point, you can't argue it wasn't a penalty. You're just arguing the refs shouldn't have called a clear penalty.

Also people arguing that this penalty will be what's most remembered about the game are silly. It takes a truly ludicrous bad call to be remembered by anyone other than the losing team's fans, and this wasn't that.

As a neutral to the game, it was a shit call that robbed everyone of a great ending to what should have been an all time classic super bowl.

To me, "they hadn't called it all game" is irrelevant unless there are other examples of the refs letting similar or worse contact go throughout the game. I don't remember seeing that, and based on the fact I haven't seen any on social media, no one else did either.

In solidarity with the Eagles, the Jets have hired Todd Downing as their passing game coordinator. Just so the Eagles don't have to be the only losers. Good guy Jets.

Greg Olsen is the best announcer I've seen in quite some time. Actual insight explained thoroughly, yet succinctly, and no ego getting in the way. This is genuinely terrible news, especially since I don't think Brady's gonna be as good. He's just a "BIG NAME" that they're trying to bait casuals with, and we have to suffer for it.

Getting two draft picks and the Jets paying the remainder of his contract sounds like a win to me. We aren't winning anything next year with Tannehill, so might as well let Willis have a full season to see what we've got in him.

I mean, it's an upgrade but I feel like even Carr would be a better upgrade. And while it was a long shot Lamar was definitely the best option.

I prefer Tannehill to Rodgers (like obviously not for football ability but just Rodgers on the Jets would make it hard for me to feel great about them) but otherwise bleh. Like if the plan is Tannehill as a backup, sure, but do you really give up two picks for a backup lol?

Yeah, the Titans need to rebuild, and they know it. It's why they were willing to trade away AJ Brown and why they drafted Malik Willis. The offensive line is getting old. They've got some good pieces on defense and they play in a bad division, so theoretically, if they get the right players, it shouldn't take them too long to get back atop the AFC South.

I wonder if the Falcons should make a move for Tannehill, Arthur Smith connection and with it being his third year and a bad division theres gonna be pressure to win

Nah, they drafted a QB last year and even benched Mariota to play him toward the end of the season, so I imagine they'll give him a shot next season to evaluate if he's worth keeping.

I think as long as Trevor Lawrence continues progressing, that division is Jacksonville's.

Someone needs to take Aaron Rodgers from the Packers please.
