Was just thinking about this. The girl in my department has cried at least once a year if not more, sometimes just the tears variety and sometimes the heavy stuff with being red in the face and I feel awakened so make sure to leave the room so that the other coworker can console her.

But I know where she's coming from the bosses overwork us and screw with us at every turn. I dont see the other department being worked to tears

Ideally, your job should not compel you to cry. Its not uncommon though, if its in a high pressure field. Generally, this should be offset by the financial compensation and benefits of enduring that stress. (Edit: enduring, not ensuring)

Some jobs are worth it, while others not so much. Its for you to decide.

I dunno. Stress has made me yell and slam my mouse and leave to walk and deep breatheif crying releases some pressurehave at it. Sux, but life aint fair and we gotta keep pressing forward.

I have seen many co-workers cry, many times. Schools can be tough.

Are you sure it is work related though? I can understand stress getting the better of people at times but hope employees aren't crying due to pressure put on them by higher up or something like that because that is not really conducive to healthy working environment

Yeah I don't really handle it that much better, I overeat when I'm stressed.

But this is the only job available, the market is brutal.

Teaching always seemed like the worst job ever to me, even as a kid seeing how some kids treated teachers, I dunno why anyone would do it.

Capitalism jobs are about exploitation so yes.

If you don't cry you are either in the privileged class or numb to your exploitesness.

Maaaan, I was gonna mention something like that. Same with acting and how crying on command is like a mark of expertise.

Regardless, gotta get paid for your tears.

Been there, especially the times I worked in retail. my coworker flat out broke down and sat in the little corner crying for a solid minute while I worked the register and I myself cried after being fired from a warehouse job several years ago before the second warehouse job fired me half a year ago, I didn't cry that time,I just felt I didn't care about anything anymore, even now as I work my third warehouse job if I get fired from this one I'll probably just walk home despite it being like 5 miles away just to talk myself out of my more darker thoughts and try again since in this world you have only two choices, try again or just let the pieces fall where they fall.
