It really shows how dead we are as a social site, we don't get new people just poeple who have been posting here since they first joined and either got banned from 4chan, reddit, resetera or refuse to go to those sites and the traitors who did abandon us for those sites often make posts bitching about the mods targeting them or wokeness or how dated the site layout is, we're in trouble.

This is just poor marketing analysis. Like, could have spent 2 seconds on that board to figure out no one posts there.

Should have just came here and did his AMA. Or go to Reddit like a normal person

Even in this site's heyday, it would have been really dumb to go to the game's board for that instead of CE or some other social board.

You kan't post "First reply wins a million dollars" on a dead board and be surprised no one responds.

If Lester had started off not so weak, like maybe he dreams of being powerful and then wakes up, I think the game would have been more popular.

What does that have to do with anything? People would care about any kind of AMA with a dev of a game new or old. And this site is so dead and irrelevant that im sure they would make a little accommodation to promote something like that to get even the slightest extra bit of traffic.

It requires absolutely minimal effort on their part. Something a community manager could throw together (if they can manage to push the cultural differences to the side for a day).

If they did something like that on the regular it would be nice. Just get in touch with old and upcoming devs to do AMAs and spotlights on projects.

You can do an AMA here. This is probably the most "alive" you're going to get on the gfaqs message boards.

Mods didn't even give him the special "Game Dev" account level like they used to.

The board is dead.

Some of you cared a lot more about that post (and my karma and posting history) than I did. OP trying to break 1100 followers? But that tweet only seemed to get very slightly more attention than my lame AMA, soooo. :)

Trust me when I say, I do not take my work in the industry - or games I worked on - too seriously. Fond memories for the most part, occasionally get messages from folks curious this or that game I was involved with.

That I'm appearing on the radar of a few zoomer/millennial trolls on GF is flattering. Hey, 'pathetic' and 'sad' = relevance, right?

The truth is, I have never really used this site so have zero idea what board is dead or what to post where. Maybe I was drunk... LOL. I recall getting a notification of someone messaging me about another game I worked on and that made me think of the AMA.

My heart is warmed thinking that I fit in, tho.

The individual game boards here have been pretty much dead for a long time. The SNES system board about the console itself probably would have attracted more attention. Even better would be Reddit. The retrogaming sub would probably love to do an AmA with you.

The AVGN did a funny video on the game years ago. I assume most people here know about Lester the Unlikely from YouTube commentators.

I had a SNES growing up and never heard of it, although I would of probably liked it if I had it.

I'll probably buy it the next time I see it in my local used game shop.

SNES Drunk also had a great video on it that's a lot more open minded. It got me to play it and it's a pretty cool game after the first few levels.
